KD does make sense for Miami.
As per usual, they're a well-coached team that needs firepower.
They'd probably offer Jimmy, one of Jaquez/Jovic and a FRP for KD.

Considering how they make everyone suffer in the playoffs, with KD they'd have a chance to make ECF.

Wish the lakers were in same boat. Hate that they got gifted a star like that
Yea, it is Lakers Exceptionalism and nothing else. Not even the Celtics are on that pedestal and that's why I never bought the idea of the Warriors becoming another pet/brand franchise for the NBA. Post-Curry Golden State will be more post-Jordan Chicago than another Lakers. I would argue the Clippers with Ballmer's deep pockets will give them a run for their money and relevancy in Cali alone..

My only thought on why PHX would consider KD for Butler is if they are trying to play some 4D chess, telling Jimmy they'll give him a new deal if he opts out, but then after he opts out they say "SIKE!" and then they shave off that extra year of KD's deal.

Otherwise... it makes as close to no sense as possible.

Btw, everyone already forgot Suns traded unprotected 20131 FRP for Ainge's 3 ty FRPs.
Then people wonder how are some teams always bad.

    He tried that in Brooklyn
Well he did team up with Kyrie, then they got James Harden and tried to form a super team there. I wouldn't say he went there trying to lead a young team. Houston might be a good spot for him to help lead a young team to a ring.

Kevin Durant couldn't lead a bunch of ducks into a pond.

Into this for sure. This would especially help our 25 pick! Caris is not bad by any means, but Hunter has been great this year. Honestly he'd fit really well here if not for his little star down stunt in San Antonio. I hope ATL does this and then whiffs on BI

keep in mind the Hawks are also trying to move Capela and Bogdanovic. They could keep coming out of the trade deadline worse than before.

    I find that interesting
In some ways it makes sense. While they have some nice relatively young pieces-they're not a contender and neither of those are in their long term plans
    It helps the Spurs

Same here . I'm all in on the Hawks '25 pick. Blazers, Philly and even Chicago have a chance to jump them up if they keep sliding like this. It is why tonight game is huge. Need to keep their bad vibes going after they squeaked out a win vs Detroit..

What is the point of trading KD for Jimmy if you are Suns lol? I mean I guess if Jimmy says he will extend and KD says he wont? But on the floor I fail to see how this helps especially with how Beal/Jimmy overlap
According to Windhorst, the thinking would be the Suns would get decent youth + draft capital in the exchange to remain "compe ive" while replacing a small portion of what they've sent out in recent years.

Best possible landing spot for Sidy, tbh.

You... in all the Fox talk and reading the Kings subreddit, I actually came to kind of like the Kings. Maybe it's small markets sticking together. Their fans deserve better. So... if we couldn't land Big Daddy, I like SAC as a landing spot for him.

Unfortunately, now in addition to the Kings being motivated to beat us because of Fox, they'll also have notorious Spur-killer Jonas on their team. At least we won't have to play him in a few nights.
