Me and my homie was saying the same thing and he’s a Hawks season ticket holder! It seemed like they hit 40 threes

Didn't Wemby have a great January last season?
Last season he had time management, fake injuries/gamed missed, had a lot less responsabilities and was A LOT less the target of every teams.

There's a fear factor that make them be physical and tire him up to mitigate his impact.

That's (also) why it's so urgent to give him some help

Good win, some very high level D being played in spurts, then some extra lazy minutes .. This team playing the pick and roll properly, looks a a lot different.

He appears to share the same cedar pollen allergy that makes so much of San Antonio miserable from around Christmas to early February most years. If you're not from the area it's a really nasty pollen from the juniper ashe trees that are all over the Hill Country northwest of town. The releases pollen in the winter and the symptoms of it for me at least are identical with when I have had COVID, eg a throat that feels like you're gargling razor blades and massive nasal congestion.

Goddamn this s me up every year. Can't stand it. Get the same symptoms as you: Sore throat and nasal congestion/expectoration. Drives me nuts.

Starting a 40 year-old PG who slows the game down beside your new, lightning-quick PG who likes to speed the game up because you don’t want to hurt the 40 year’old’s feelings while simultaneously tanking your star Rookie’s surging ROY campaign when it’s his to lose

I’d expect nothing less from this Coaching Staff and Front Office tbh.
the power of friendship will overcome this

Yo, that was a crazy game!! I met Devin & Castle tonight.. real good people and super respectful ( we actually chopped it up a little bit ). Seeing fox in real life has me convinced the Spurs should be charged with something for how they obtained him.... Sochan better pick it up too.
Was that you in the front row with the Wemby jersey?

Great win with Fox 1st game. Agree easily a blowout without Fox. He’s been a thorn on Spurs side, so seeing him do what he does for the Spurs is a real treat. I’m hoping the talent just rubs off to other players. This could be one of the better defensive transition teams if we’re not for CP3 slowing the tempo. That should’ve been Castle as the other guard. Champ could also benefit as a starter feeding off from the opening that Fox is creating, if only Mitch has the cojones to shake the lineup. Vassell would be the perfect 6th man with his offense. For now I’m hoping they get a backup big with all the trades going on.

there's honestly no reason to have Castle run point by himself out there with Fox and CP3 on the team. Mitch should stagger them even when he starts both. Terrible job on the rotations tbh. Shoutout to Quinn Snyder for blowing his last time out on a challenge that clearly had no chance to turn the call over.

How does he kill the flow of the offense when he very rarely has the ball in his hands for more than half a second?
Lately he’s been pausing / indecisive. With almost no ability to shoot, he rightfully tries to find other shooters. Earlier in the season he was driving to the rim ala Stephon’s strategy, making short hook/floaters once he got closer, but I haven’t seen that lately. I’m as big of a Sochan believer as anyone, but lately he looks scared and hesitant.

Regarding Cedar…as an “Austin hippie” I feel obligated to post a few links that will dispel common myths.

    Article: https://www.kxan.com/news/local/aust...e-environment/

If you REALLY want a deep dive, this 600-page book: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/wan...evy/1139347125

    Long story short:

    - Yes they’re native. When German settlers came to TX they observed extremely tall, straight cedars, with full biodiversity (including large mammals) beneath them. They chopped 98% of them down as their logging livelihood. The cedars we have now are “young cedars”, which grow short and wide in order to maximize their chance of survival. If we stopped cutting them and stopped ing with the soil, they would eventually grow back to mature tall trees allowing for more eco diversity. However the young cedars today are still valuable to other plants and animals in their ecosystem, another myth.

    - No, chopping them down around SA, and especially just from your property, won’t do for your allergies. There are too many, and their pollen travels far through the air.

    - No, they don’t use more water than any other tree. No, they don’t spread wildfires.

    - Lobbyists have run a false campaign for decades to Gov and public to spread public disapproval in order to clear massive mature ecosystems for cattle and real estate.

No. I was wearing the Erroria51 hoodie; wasn’t on the floor. However was close enough to see them boys clearly and interact with them. I will say this, Keldon looked shook….

Interesting. Thanks for posting your thoughts. I assume you had a great time at the game, especially with the Spurs winning.

Do you think Keldon knows he was that close to being traded and doesn't know what to do now that it didn't go through, or do you think he thinks he's still on the trading block? And if he doesn't get traded, I wonder if he's dejected about having to forget about it and somehow keep playing like nothing happened.

I'm anti-cedar in that they seem to sort of get their roots in and strangle out older oak trees. So not really a cedar hater I guess, but pro Oak. Lol.

One cool aspect of last nights game was the all-black crew in honor of Black History Month:

ESPN featured an All-Black cast in front of and behind the cameras for last night’s San Antonio vs Atlanta game celebrating Black History Always. Some of the most elite folks in the industry. I was honored to take part. We are Bonafide. Qualified.Certified Melanated.Educated and Compensated ❤️✊
