Y'all hanged Nico from his balls off the Reunion Tower yet or what?
Dude ... that's ing hilarious.
this sh!t has to be collusion. Maybe some of these guys have been guaranteed jobs in the Lakers front office in the next few years. This is the most bizarre 180 treatment of a franchise player I can ever remember in any sport. Guy carries bad/mediocre rosters to a WCF and Finals appearance while playing hurt. Never publicly complained to the front office and seemed to love the city he was in. Then all of a sudden he gets traded randomly and you have people in the front office lining up to publicly take shots at him? Even some of the most notable team cancers in the NBA didn't get this kind of smear campaign against them. Atleast not immediately
Wouldn't surprise me if the AAC Janitor comes out next, and calls him a scrub imho
^ ROFL trading your franchise for Street Clothes
well the AD era was fun for two quarters tbh
I wanna laugh but I still got love for AD. Kinda like you and Nephew.![]()
I been going through this for 6 years![]()
LOL what? I was pissed Kawhi wasn't in the helicopter
The thing that makes this all so f@ggy is that being a GM in the NBA is not really that complicated. It's mostly luck if you're not the GM of Miami, LA, or Golden State but the overall process is not that complex. To compete for a le it you basically do these three things (four if you're in a premium spot):
1) Rebuild/tank until you get a top 3 pick and try to build around that guy as your franchise player (this is mostly luck and takes the longest to achieve)
2) When you get that player you try to draft or sign FAs that complement him. If you think you're one solid B player away, then you go more all in and sell draft capital to get the right side kick
3) IF you still havent won a le and you don't think that this is your franchise guy, THEN you can trade him but you have to make sure you go immediately back to step 1 and you get atleast four 1st round draft picks that will most likely be in the lottery and 2-3 quality starters in return. Basically you have to swap your superstar for the immediate chance to draft multiple lottery players right off the bat. Otherwise keep proceeding with Step 2)
*** If you are Miami, LA, or Golden State ***
4) You can get a big name FA to sign with you, then go all out for 4-5 years to form a big three. Usually after five years, the le window runs its course. Hopefully you've managed to get atleast one le out of it. Then its time to rebuild for two years before trading all your young players for another superstar and the cycle starts over again.
But the hardest part is getting the franchise player in step 1. This stuttering pavement ape excuse of a GM somehow hit a home run in the draft, decided Luka wasn't the guy atleast four years too early, and then managed to not get himself back into any of these positions. He squandered the ace of spades and somehow put the franchise into a weird state of No Man's Land
this tweet comes from the fact the owner said this
“If you look at the greats in the league, the people you and I grew up with — Jordan, Bird, Kobe, Shaq — they worked really hard, every day, with a singular focus to win. And if you don’t have that, it doesn’t work … you shouldn’t be part of the Dallas Mavericks.”
Notice how of the guys listed he doesn't list Dirk . His Trump loving ass saw that Luka was an immigrant and just assumed he was lazy.
Only the Lakers can do #4 tbh.
Lakers knew AD's current injury was going to take some time to heal. Even if we dropped games due to him not being out there it's the right thing to do both short and long term for AD and the Lakers.
Mavs doctors really let AD go out there too soon, now he gonna be out at least a month or longer. SMH
I blame Marc Cuban for selling the Mavs to a known racist idiot. And I would not put it past the Mavs owners to purposely piss off the fan base to justify moving the Mavs to Vegas.
And he talked crap about Luka. Every time he plays the Mavs it's on site and I'm here for it.![]()
normally i would hate on the lakers for a trade like this, but this is so hilarious, i want them to ring tbh![]()
Off topic: I am extremely worried about the Sp*rs and OKC. It's gonna be a blood bath in the Western Conference playoffs this year. How in the did you farmers pair Fox with Wemby without giving up Castle or Vassell? That's more of a crime than us getting Luka, yet you hot bref inbreds upstairs crying about the Lakers.![]()
I don't know why you're sharing one-week injury tweet chams has no timetable for return. He went out there early to save Nico's life and just ended up throwing more dirt on him
