Pelinka is still a re , it's just that he got lucky with a rigged trade.
Trading away so much for broken Williams is something only an idiot could've done.

Did the NBA rescind the trade because Silver saw how stupid it was to pay that much for Mark Williams and felt the need to step in and save the Lakers?

I think it was a medical problem with Williams..

It was unrelated to his back problems though.

Checking R/Hornets and they were talking about how crazy bad Mark Williams' health must be for the Lakers to void the trade when they desperately needed him. It wasn't even his back it was other things health related.

Mark Williams does look alot like Greg Oden when he moves on the court. Huge guy but looks like something is gonna break every time he jumps.

that's messed up cause the Lakers just ran out of picks trading for Williams. He then would've played 20 games per season. Perfect scenario to make Luka leave.

A popular player here that is having a really bad year is Lauri Markkanen.

As the first option on a ty team, he is averaging 19.3 ppg with a below league average efficiency (efg% .525 for Markkanen while the league average is .541) while being paid about $50M per year for the next 4 years.

A team (maybe Spurs?) reportedly offered three first round picks for him last summer. His trade value is nowhere near that level now. It's even debatable that he has a positive trade value given that he isn't durable player. Ainge should have cash in on him last summer.

Saying that, Jazz will simply keep him. They can easily keep him even if he is overpaid because they have little salary committed to players.

Ainge's resolve in keeping him will probably be tied to who they draft. If they get Ace, for instance, they might be more inclined to move Lauri and free up more minutes for Ace.

Why are you posting a video from 10 days ago? I had to check the date as the Lakers haven't lost for a while.

Yeah, as soon as I saw the video (it was a non-contact play), I knew the Mavericks were toast.

Truly re s. We may complain or feel frustrated about Wemby and company all day and night, but at least we're not the Mavs.

Freaking crazy/hilarious. As I said in the other thread, you couldn't even script this trade and then injury the very first game after the backlash of the Mavs fans. It wouldn't be believable. Mavs owners are idiots.

It seems that Warriors found themselves a steal in the second round.
#52 pick Quinten Post is averaging 10/4/2, 43% from 3pt on 4.5 attempts since he became the regular rotation member 12 games ago, 17mpg.
Looks like a poor man's Brook Lopez out there.

[Charania] New Toronto Raptors star Brandon Ingram has agreed to a three-year, $120 million contract extension with the franchise, including a player option in 2027-28, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul, agents Shy Saee and Mike George told me and @BobbyMarks42.
He had no other options if he accepted a 3 year deal.

    $40M/year for Ingram....

Do we still consider Toronto a well run organization?

how could he have options before he tests the FA market?

not that i think he'd beat it

There's no cap space whatsoever around the league.
Nets will have $91M, Pistons $24M and then everyone else is at $20M or less, with just 10 teams being projected under the cap.
The only non-tanking teams with cap space are Pistons, Rockets, Grizzlies, Hawks and Spurs (can we get into non-tanking category? ).

Reports said Hawks were interested, probably offered less and I doubt any of those other teams would take Ingram.
NOLA probably wouldn't want to do any S&T.

Raptors are a perfect destination for him, tbh.
