This team still can't play defense even with the DPOY.
Every single player that played for the Wizards last game scored in double figures.
One of the biggest games this year outside of maybe the Christmas game... against the defending champions on ESPN. Our team is mostly healthy and we have another dynamic playmaker in Fox now so it should be a fairer fight. I am curious to see how compe ive we can keep this game on the road.
1-0 on Game Threads this year. Let's keep it going!
Go Spurs Go!

Brotha, we are gonna get absolutely obliterated![]()
Wemby and Fox gonna have to combine for 60+ again if we're even gonna sniff the possibility of a win here.
If Mitch starts Fox/CP3/Vassell again and plays them as much as the Washington game, we are gonna get absolutely in cooked by Tatum/Brown + Boston's shooting.
Castle should be playing 35+ minutes as a point of attack defender.
Sochan gonna have to sharpen up his defending skills here and take shifts on Tatum.
Barnes/Vassell gonna have to be hittin' high clips on long range shots when they're on the floor
Keldon needs to be glued to the bench.
The corpse of Bismack Biyombo will need a double double in his debut here
If we lose close I'll be happy, but I can see a painful blow out coming here if all the stars don't align.
What's the Spurs record for nationally-televised games? I can see a skull ing coming
this game is gonna be over in the 2nd quarter. Jordan McLaughlin and Bismack Biyombo gonna make their Spurs debuts in garbage time.
This is gonna be a curb stomping![]()
Congrats on copy & pasting my thread le. Prob gonna get our butt-holes obliterated but I'm here for it.
GSG![]()
Good status check game for DA SPURZ. Who may still be deciding whether to tank or still chase the play in.
Afraid we’re gonna have to take this one like real men. But Spurs beat the Hawks and the Hawks beat the Celtics, so never mind.
I think we'll surprise and make this a little more compe ive than some think - but still ultimately fall by double digits by the end.
This is an opportunity for Mitch Johnson to show he's capable of adaptation, but I'm expecting more of the same inexplicable lineups and rotations.
Thanks for the thread, OP.
Yeah I can see the Spurs making this compe ive in the 1st half at least. But as usual will allow 40 points somewhere in the 3rd or 4th quarter and lose by double digits in the end.
Oh the reverse jinx! I like it!
We gonna need wemby, fox and vassell to have great games. Also for our role players to have good games.
Would be big if we can take this game today.
Have some faith... we beat the Nuggets on the road without Fox and CP3 and Castle. Unless you guys think the Celtics are a whole different beast than the Nuggets were.
The spurs may be compe ive in this game if they decide to reset the scores to 0-0 after three periods.
It pisses me off when we collapse so much when Wemby is on the floor. Especially early on in the game. Giving teams open looks at the beginning just gives them dumb confidence and it seems like it just ends up ing us. I'm tired of seeing random dudes go off on us from like that. Our defensive positioning sucks .
Fwiw, Jrue is still out and Brown is questionable.
I don't care how much better the Celtics are, if 2/4 their best players are out, not putting up a fight would be embarrassing.
can't wait to see CP3 guard Tatum
Well... I do think the Celtics are a class above the Nuggets... but the Celtics have also lost home games to ATL, CHI, PHI, SAC, ATL (again). All teams we've beaten or were in position to beat ourselves... so anything is possible. PHX is @ HOU toda and GS plays DAL... so could actually be a pretty huge W for the Play-In race if we could somehow pull it off. The good news is that so long as HOU takes care of a business a loss doesn't really hurt us too much and the status quo will be maintained. Those CHA and ORL losses loom large right now. We're going to have to go on a legit run here (like a 9 out of 10 type run like ATL and POR recently put together) if we are going to make a go of this. I'm a bit skeptical that we can do it.
Only 2 players? On the spurs would be in bostons rotation? That’s how terrible of a job Brian Wrong has done. Sochan wouldn’t even sniff the court with his terrible spacing
We need a fluke shooting night to win this one
The Hornets were missing 2 of their best players and were curb stomping the Spurs for most of that game tbh![]()
Looks like Anton Watson and Torrey Craig may sit this one out for the Celtics. Should help even the odds. Come on Spurs!
