I came across this interesting X Post that explains how DOGE cannot be touched by Congress. What I find interesting though, is the 2nd to the last paragraph. I knew the US Digital Service was created in the Obama Administration but, never considered why. Makes perfect sense that it would be created as a Deep State "IT back door" to every agency in the federal government. Trump and Musk are simply repurposing a service created by President Obama in order to ferret out the waste, fraud, and corruption in our government.
Look, Winehole, I get that you don't trust Musk or Obama. Keep harping on it, if you must but, know, until you bring some hard receipts that either one of them is out to personally gain from what they're doing, I'm not hearing it. I have no reason t distrust them in this endeavor. In fact, I am delighted by the amount of money being saved though DOGE's recommended cuts and clawbacks. Ferreting the corruption and theft of the Deep State is just going to be a bonus.

“These people are likely never going to come back and work for the government,” Hruby said in a phone interview. “We’ve had a very active program requiring an increase to our staff so the indiscriminate layoffs of people will be really difficult for the coming years.”
