Nice game by Biz Biyombo!
It's nice to see someone on the team who can actually set nice, solid screens that actually allow our guards to get around the corner and attack the defense. I loved his dives to the basket afterwards. Hopefully Vic can pick up some of these traits or we draft a big body that has these traits. Vic doesn't hold these screens, nearly long enough. He's always quick to slip them so that he can pop open for the three ball. He can get so many more lobs and easy baskets at the rim if he just set solid screens first.

Big Smack Biyombo seems to be just more of a traditional center than Wemby or Zollins ever was. Maybe that's what this team needed. Wemby shooting 3's is fine but sometimes you need a guy in the middle who stays in the middle and rebounds and scores even just a little bit and then lets the other more skilled players do their thing.
The front office must have forgot to send the we're tanking memo to the players. Sorry front office, but Fox and C3p0 did not come here to tank.

I know the backup C bar has been super low these last few years but I wouldn't read too much into a good game against a struggling Suns team that had KD and Bol Bol at the 5 for most of the night

The Spurs have just signed Bismack Biyombo to a second 10-day contract.
Biyombo (6-8, 255) first joined San Antonio on Feb. 9 and has played in two games. In his lone start, he posted 8 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal in 16 minutes, helping the Spurs defeat the Suns.
Biyombo outplayed their starting center so bad he only played 9 mins
He deserves a second look. Having someone that actually knows how to set a screen was nice to watch
