Fellas let's not lose focus here. Nico is the villain.
Fellas let's not lose focus here. Nico is the villain.
Shut up casual, Street Clothes will age way better than the guy who made All NBA First Team five of his six years in the league. Do you even PER?
With the way Nico talks and hearing about the coffee shop thing, I just think he got bullied into making a bad deal because he met Pelinka up in person. Nico is probably a gullible, somewhat low IQ beta pushover who thought him and Pelinka were buddies and that Pelinka really had his best interest at heart. When in reality Pelinka is a shrewd Machievellian businessman who completely took advantage of him and probably intimidated him in person.I really think it's just that simple.
People who can be pushovers have an especially hard time saying no when they've been forced against their will into a deal with someone in person. Pelinka probably manipulated him, and I bet when Nico went home later and thought what a terrible trade it was, Pelinka was probably like "But you looked me in the eye man to man and said we had a deal? Don't tell you're gonna back out now!" That's what happens when you get to buddy-buddy in business
Just in shock he didn't at least get the second Lakers pick and Austin Reaves bare minimum for handing a top 3 superstar in this league who will make the Lakers relevant for the next 10-15 years for maybe three good years of Davis (and starting next season). So unprofessional seeing rightwing failson committing character assassination on Doncic like he didn't take that team he owns to the Finals last season.
Luka is NOT top three in league by analytics (behind AD in PER alone) and marginal on defense. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlNJE5lDFRM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zLSVr7XRLE Clueless dadbod even said defense overrated https://www.threads.net/@theboxscore...s-what-really- Mavs won trade by https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-2hA6brh6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9EZg65c8Ac LOL all the talking heads do not get it LAL regressed and Mavs improved next 4 years at least.
Agreed but the Ownership were willing to take a gamble. Let's be honest most fans would prefer 10+ seasons of watching a generational talent than 1 le run with pieces that will be gone soon. This was a spreadsheet decision by business people. Unless they can deliver 1 le + multiple Finals runs, the general fan rather tune in nightly to watch Luka bounce the ball.
Winning big with Street Clothes in street clothes again. At least you're not trying to on LeBron again, guess he hasn't said anything about Trump recently enough to piss you off.
What people are selectively forgetting about the Finals last year is that the entire Mavs team outside of Luka sh!t their pants every game in Boston. I don't have the numbers but I believe their 3 pt shooting % in Games 1, 2, and 5 was like 15%. The Celtics were leaving guys not named Luka wide open and they couldn't hit the broad side of the barn. Kyrie, most notably, was terrified of the Boston crowd but how soon people forget. Yeah Luka was bad on defense, but he had to carry the entire offense because the rest of the team didnt show up like they had the rest of the playoffs. That even includes guys like Gafford and Lively who were getting blocked at the rim by Derrick White and Jrue Holiday.
The only person not named Luka who somewhat showed up on the road in the Finals was PJ
Luka the bed as well, Mark. They put him on-the-spot and he would/could not deliver.
...he finally learned his lesson like Hanks, and a slew of other Hollywood s learned it when Trump left Harris where he found her.
he should have gotten the trade plus everything they sent to Charlotte. Even then it still would have been stupid, but at least you could argue Knecht is another first round pick
ROFL wow Doncic drank lemonade and sweet tea out of a thermos at practice. What a cancer, no wonder they traded for Street Clothes after wondering if Doncic could ever stay healthy.

“Every person who worked at the Mavericks, except for me, was terrified of this guy,” Haralabos Voulgaris, a Mavericks executive from 2018 to 2021, said of Dončić on the podcast “My First Million.”
Voulgaris told a story about interacting with Dončić during his rookie season. Dončić filled a thermos with lemonade and sweet tea. “I know liquid calories are death,” Voulgaris told then-owner Cuban. Voulgaris, according to his recounting, was told to stay in his lane.
Must be that mix of both that Arnold Palmer invented years back. It is delicious.
In the three Finals games at Boston, Kyrie averaged 14 points on like 32% shooting. Absolutely pathetic, mental midget for a veteran 32 year old with championship experience, but gets scared of playing in an arena were fans are
meanie heads to him
. Also 3 for 17 from three in those games. The drop off from the rest of the playoff series was staggering. In the two home games in the Finals he averaged 28 ppg on over 50% shooting, so it's not like it was anything in particular the Celtics were doing...he was just a mental midget in Boston.
Sure Luka has to work on his conditioning and other stuff, but it's criminal to have a selective memory and forget the epic choke job from Kyrie in the Finals; the guy who is supposed to be the veteran with championship experience. People watching selective Finals clips of Luka's man scoring on Dindu Sports Programming Network (DSPN), where the Tyrone analysts trash the white player any chance they get, and thinking THAT was the difference between the Mavs winning and losing are completely re ed
Irving has always been a loser in a winner's circle.
Luka has time, absolutely. But, said time goes quick and with this move into California the haters/players are going to continue to go after him like the last pork chop on the plate come crunch time.
They did the same thing to Magic in the day. Tried to dissuade him, and he did wobble for frightening moments before ascending and dropping anchor at the summit.
Frankly I don't see Luka fighting thru his stop sign. He's a foreigner and does not understand, or comprehend American ways concerning personal envy and grudges. He'll settle for the money.
Yeah, don't disagree with you there. He looks nervous/tentative already whether it's playing with Lebron or playing in Los Angeles. He seems like the type who can dominate when there's no other strong personality on the court, but he does look like he's out of place taking a backseat to Lebron's personality.
I just laugh when people keep replaying the same clips of Tatum/Brown going by Luka in the Finals, as if his defense was the reason the lost, while pretending that the rest of the team didnt collectively sh!t their pants when playing in TD Garden
and then Kyrie going out of his way to shake everyone on Boston's hand after Game 5 to congratulate them and being real nice to them in the post game presser in an obvious attempt for the
meanie head Boston fans
to be nice to him in the future. That whole series just reeked of loser mentality on his part.
tbh he's lucky DFW fans aren't rabid like they are in a place like Philly...otherwise he would've gotten killed for it and maybe even need to be traded like Ben Simmons
Doncic finding his groove right before Tuesday. He's hittin step back threes, yellin at the crowd, hittin the stanky leg/twerkin that thang, and arguing with the refs so you know he's starting to feel back to normal. Wouldn't be surprised if he dropped 60/10/10 against the Western Hesmisphere Mogadishu Mavericks on Tuesday tbh imho
Nico
that g@y article trying to portray him as a Black Excellence misunderstood mad scientist genius
typical incompetent uppity boon , just like all the low IQ white collar dindus with da sport coat and da glasses that took over DF dub after George Floyd
trade was supposed to atleast be beneficial short term but already backfired within a month like everyone with half a brain expected
Kidd constantly doubling Doncic so that their Magic Negro GM doesn't get murdered when he goes for 60
