pretzel logic
I'm middle-aged and y'all just wrecked the status quo. At this point I'd just like to save my country from fascists like you, no illusions that the status-quo ante will return nor procedural justice for your likes -- people who pull this kind of usually don't end up well.

pretzel logic
The idea that El0n is not directly making money is false, he's already cashing in on the $290 million he invested in Trump. Receipts can be found in this thread.
The hypothesis that he doesn't care about money is argumentative and ignores the utility of the power he's wielding to kneecap federal agencies that regulate his companies:
https://www.salon.com/2025/02/24/wha...-to-gamergate/Musk's decisions aren't informed by research and analysis. They're vindictive, erratic, and fueled by outright lies and racist grievances. Whatever "targeting" is going on is guided by Musk's desire to kneecap agencies that threaten to expose his corruption. But the parrot-like repe ion about "saving money" is causing the press to amplify the lie with headlines that falsely describe DOGE as a "cost-cutting" effort. The text of these articles often debunks the talking point by pointing out that Musk's numbers are made up, but most people don't read articles. All they get is a vague sense this is a "cost-cutting" effort and don't realize that actually, it's a fascist culture war dressed up in "efficiency" costumes.
MAGA is like Falangism or the first mass-marketed political movement in the USA -- the 1920s-1930s KKK
"Cost cutting" and "DEI" are just fig leaves

somewhat philosophical, but apt
libertarian naivete leads to reactionary control
https://www.notesfromthecircus.com/p...musks-dystopiaThe blood now staining our hands isn't just from failing to defend democracy—it's from betraying the sophisticated understanding of power that Madison built into our cons utional system itself. We've allowed the very fusion of private and public power that he sought to prevent, creating a new form of tyranny that wears the mask of efficiency and innovation.
This betrayal has given rise to strange bedfellows, alliances that might seem contradictory at first glance. The apparent contradictions can be confusing: How do Christian nationalists and gay atheist tech billionaires end up on the same side? Why are some reactionaries pushing ethnic nationalism while others advocate for immigration? What binds together Catholic integralists, Silicon Valley oligarchs, and MAGA populists?
The answer lies in their shared rejection of Madison's vision. Despite their surface-level differences, these groups are united by a common desire to concentrate power outside of democratic ins utions. They may disagree on the specifics of how that power should be wielded, but they agree on dismantling the systems that disperse and balance it.
Tech billionaires see an opportunity to reshape society through private control of crucial infrastructure. Christian nationalists envision a return to religious authority unconstrained by secular checks. MAGA populists dream of a strongman leader unen bered by ins utional restraints. What unites them is not a coherent ideology, but a shared antipathy towards the democratic dispersion of power that Madison designed.
In this light, their alliance isn't so puzzling after all. They're not united by what they believe in, but by what they oppose: the sophisticated system of checks and balances that prevents any single group from dominating society. Their seemingly contradictory goals—whether it's open borders for cheap labor or closed borders for cultural purity—are secondary to their primary objective of dismantling democratic constraints on power.
Understanding this common thread is crucial if we hope to defend what remains of our cons utional system. We're not facing isolated threats from various fringe groups. We're confronting a coordinated assault on the very foundations of democratic governance, carried out by forces that understand all too well the power dynamics that Madison sought to balance.
Their thought-leaders provide theoretical justification, the tech oligarchs provide infrastructure and resources, and the populists provide the political energy needed to dismantle democratic ins utions.
Understanding this alliance is crucial because it explains otherwise baffling developments: Why tech billionaires fund religious nationalists. Why traditionalists embrace disruptive technology. Why populists serve oligarchic interests. They're not allies of convenience—they're united in a sophisticated project to replace democracy with something they see as more effective.
DOGE is e at accounting
One of the entries on the DOGE website, first reported by The Intercept, claimed to save $232 million by canceling a technology contract with the Social Security Administration. The only aspect of the contract that was canceled, however, was "a project to develop an 'X' gender marker for the agency’s internal databases." That cancellation, part of a larger anti-trans agenda, will produce $560,000 in savings. The rest of the contract is unchanged.Politico analyzed the data and identified "at least 14 instances where items are repeated, totaling $325 million in claimed savings." Among the duplicates was "a single $25 million item under the Agriculture Department" that was repeated four times. DOGE counted each vendor authorized to bid on the contract as a separate item. Actually, there are "only two finalized contracts from the vendors listed," and they have "been awarded less than $1 million."In other cases, DOGE claimed credit for canceling contracts that had already expired. Michigan-based environmental scientist David Reid decided to let "his contract studying invasive species in the St. Lawrence Seaway" expire on December 31, 2024, because he is planning to retire. He was surprised to find the contract included in the list of "savings" claimed by DOGE.
Overall, the Washington Post found "417 of the deals on DOGE’s list indicate that they saved $0" because they were already completed. Another 51 canceled contracts collectively saved less than $1 million. The DOGE website links its claimed savings to information about the contracts on the Federal Procurement Data System. In several cases, however, the claimed savings and the linked contract do not match, raising questions about what contract — if any — was actually canceled. For example, "DOGE reported a canceled contract with National Jewish Health to support research on lung diseases," but linked to "a contract with the University of Oklahoma for cardiovascular research." National Jewish Health told Politico that it had not been informed that its grant had been canceled or cut.https://www.muskwatch.com/p/doges-disastrous-accountingAlong with contracts, the DOGE website boasts of $144 million in savings from "canceling or renegotiating 97 leases for office space and other real estate used by federal agencies." But, according to an analysis from the Washington Post, "[s]ixteen of DOGE’s 20 largest savings on real estate were calculated by assuming that those leases would otherwise have continued for another five years." In fact, "all 20 were already due to expire within the next two years — and most this year." The inflated savings accounts for $104 million of the $144 million of total claimed savings.

"......It appeared as if the State Department was taking steps to award Elon Musk's Tesla a $400 million government contract to buy armored electric vehicles to securely transport diplomats. The move to set in motion a lucrative contract to a company controlled by a high-profile ally of President Trump seemed so bold it surprised even longtime observers of the norm-busting president.
....
...... But NPR has obtained a State Department do ent detailing that Biden's State Department planned to spend just $483,000 in the 2025 fiscal year on buying electric vehicles and $3 million for supporting equipment, like charging stations. It represented less than 1% of the hundreds of millions of dollars likely destined for Tesla vehicles after the Trump administration quietly revised a State Department procurement do ent...
.....The person said the State Department and Tesla had agreed during the Biden administration to conduct research about armoring electric vehicles, but no money had been set aside to purchase armored Teslas for the State Department. A total budget of $483,000 had been approved to buy light-duty EVs as possible State Department vehicles. That plan was moving forward as recently as November 2024....."

Uh huh. It'll be really fun when Tesla does end up with their armored minivan contract
the lawyer can't say that DOGE is being run illegally by a man who's impersonating the head of a US executive agency that isn't really one, so he's playing dumb
JUDGE COLLEEN KOLLAR-KOTELLY: Is there an administrator of DOGE at the present time?
GOVERNMENT COUNSEL: I don’t know the answer to that
Government efficiency is when every federal agency has to send a daily emergency email to its workers telling them to ignore another daily email from a different department trying to fire them without knowing what their jobs are.

eventually you're gonna cry too, Snake Boy
ing morons.
New poll: 83% of Americans want the government to cut spending instead of raising taxes—but D.C. just kept spending under Biden.
- 67% say the debt is unsustainable
- 83% want the budget balanced
- 77% demand a full review of government spending
Yet Democrats refused to cut a dime while pushing higher taxes and endless deficits. Now, DOGE
and Trump are doing what the voters asked for.

Morons for people to have to report what the did one bullet per day
Not hard but chump thinks accountability for people getting his tax payer money is stupid
What does Fred have to do with the topic at hand
We are talking about waste the gov is doing
Musk is only pointing that out. He is only on read mode
Trump has the finally saw and he does not back down unlike sleepy Joe
sounds foolproof

They already have accountability without sending an email to your ing moron's robot.
Is it to stressfully for you ?
It's completely unnecessary.
Why should a robot decide if they stay employed?
