Trump backs down on $2.1 billion in frozen federal funds for PA, but apparently Gov. Shapiro had to go and beg Trump personally for it.
Wonder what Trump got from Shapiro in return
https://www.post-gazette.com/news/po...s/202502240077Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro is suing the Trump administration over a federal funding freeze that's denying state agencies $2.1 billion.

https://www.staradvertiser.com/2025/...d-legal-staff/The Food and Drug Administration has reinstated dozens of specialized employees involved in food safety, review of medical devices and other areas who were laid off last week, according to more than a dozen workers who got called back.
The total number of employees recalled was not immediately clear. But a person familiar with the conversations said nearly all of the roughly 180 medical division employees who had been let go would get their jobs back. More than a dozen workers across a handful of teams said that they had received a call or email reinstating their employment; some reported that up to a dozen others on their teams had also been brought back.
The FDA and its parent agency, the Department of Health and Human Services, did not respond to requests for comment.
Trump snubbed by the Super Bowl LIX champion Philadelphia Eagles
just like last time
https://www.the-sun.com/sport/134710...wl-trump-snub/a well-placed insider told The U.S. Sun that recent discussions between the players and the Eagles front office resulted in a "massive no" when asked if they would accept an invitation to the nation's capital.
"We focus on the game for now, but if we win the Super Bowl, we wouldn’t go to the White House," a member of the ownership group told The U.S. Sun.
A current player echoed those sentiments, claiming that "pretty much everyone" decided they would refuse to meet the President.
"We represent a city and a state that is pushing for equal rights, respect, and values that respect every human being," said the Eagles star, who also spoke anonymously.
"We won’t forget what happened and the criticism we received for taking a stand against racism, and we won’t back down from our values of respect, integrity, and equality."

A Harvard University/Harris poll had President Donald Trump’s approval rating at 52%, with voters most satisfied with his job on immigration, reducing the cost of the government, and returning America to its values.

I think they should stop inviting teams to whitehouse now
It used to be a honor and history and seeing it
Now it is a politically theater ……
It always has been, but lol sour grapes
Huge win
Libs are winning
https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/oth...sy/ar-AA1zIsB0As it stands now, the Eagles have made their position clear—they will accept a White House invitation if one is extended. Whether that invitation will be forthcoming remains to be seen
Eagles will accept White House visit as soon as President Trump extends invite
The Polls mean nothing any longer. He can't run again and so is unchained. And he knows it. Only things that can stop him now is the D's getting the House in 2 years and then enough RINO's & new D's in the Senate for the conviction...+ gunning him down.
stagflationary headwinds, according to S&P Global
https://www.spglobal.com/marketintel...i-surveys.htmlA key development evident in the February flash PMIs was a sharp slowing of business growth in the US, accompanied by rising goods prices. Companies widely blamed the weaker expansion to uncertainty and disruption caused by recent US government policy initiatives, while tariffs were widely cited as a key cause of higher prices in the manufacturing sector. Overall, however, stiff compe ion limited selling price growth in the services economy to offset the manufacturing price rise, boding well for inflation. But this reduced pricing power alongside weaker growth bodes ill for profits.
Whereas the US had been by far the fastest growing major (G4) developed economy late last year and into January according to the PMIs, February saw the US expansion falter to a near-stalled pace; a rate which was even weaker than rates seen in Japan and the UK and only marginally above that of the eurozone.
The US Composite Flash PMI Output Index, which measures month-on-month changes in output across both goods and services, fell from 52.7 in January to 50.4, a 17-month low. Back in December, this index had stood at a near-three year high of 55.4. While readings above 50.0 signal growth, the PMI for the US has signaled a steep deceleration in the pace of economic growth over the past two months from a buoyant rate seen late last year.
