    He knew a guy!

Now ramble on some more in a manner that nobody cares about that his word should mean something.
"Nelson, a longtime friend and former Senate colleague of President Joe Biden’s, was tapped to lead NASA last year and has been a booster of public-private space exploration, especially with SpaceX. Citing a Defense Department official, Nelson told a Senate panel in May that SpaceX might have saved taxpayers as much as $40 billion in launch costs."

The savings of SpaceX sending rockets to space compared to the cost of NASA doing it are well do ented.

    Again, what is hilarious?
You still not getting what a conflict of interest is hilarious.

And sad tbh. Too many idiots out there like you that don't get it.

Why can't he do simple math?

Or is he just lying about the alleged savings?

    It's one or the other.
    Lol he's ignoring this.

Of course I am, he's on timeout for repeatedly lying. On top of that it's an either/or fallacy.

Because "he heard a guy" isn't good enough for anyone but ing idiots.

And Musk is still a walking conflict of interest. Why do you think he's suddenly keeping his name off of DOGE receipts?

You'd think someone so into conspiracies like you wouldn't struggle so hard to piece this kid level puzzle together.

This case was "engineered" through judge-shopping to get to Judge Amir Ali, brand new to the District Court in DC. Without very little thought and even less care, he fashioned a "TRO" to restore billions of dollars in funding while he case is pending. The two sides have since sparred back and forth over whether the Trump Admin. is in compliance with the TRO given that the flow of money remained off -- which the Admin claims was permissible under the terms of his original TRO, whether he realized it or not at the time.

In going back to Judge Ali to claim non-compliance and seeking an order to enforce the TRO, the plaintiffs attached several declarations from en ies that have contracts or grants with USAID for their operations. Here are some quotes from a couple of those declarations:

"Approximately 96 percent of Democracy International’s approximately $41.7 million in revenues in 2024 came from prime cooperative agreements and contracts from USAID and an additional approximately 2 percent came indirectly from USAID through subawards and subcontracts, for a total of approximately 98 percent directly or indirectly from USAID."

"Since the Court’s TRO was issued on February 13, 2025, HIAS has not received payments on its approximately $6.4 million in outstanding requests for reimbursement from the United States Government (U.S. Agency for International Development, U.S. Department of State Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, U.S. Department of State Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor). Since the stop work orders and directly due to the lack of funding by the U.S. government, HIAS has been forced to issue 344 notices of layoffs worldwide."

"DAI has not received any payments on its $115 million in outstanding invoices to USAID. Over $70 million of that amount is more than 30 days past due."

There is a mechanism by which en ies doing business with the federal government can pursue remedies when they believe the Govt is in breach of its obligations -- running into federal court to get a TRO is not that remedy. All such suits generally go to the Court of Federal Claims.

The fact that your organization might go out of business while you await adjudication of your claims for payment from the Govt is not the fault of the Govt -- it is the fault of the person/en y that created a business model entirely dependent on the flow of money from the Govt.

I suspect the plaintiffs in the Global Health case -- and Judge Ali -- are about to learn that lesson.

Trump (It's not just Trump, he's ALSO simply granting the wishes of this extremist party), Musk, and the rest of the modern Republican party are clearly trying to take us into a far-right oligarchy and dictatorship.

Project 2025 is literally happening right before our eyes, just one month into the new administration, despite Trump denying it at every turn during his campaign. I don't know how any logical and level headed person could support heading towards said far-right dictatorship. If you support the far-right and their desire to take this country into that dictatorship, you're sick in the head and evil yourself.

The modern Democratic party (NO, not the Democratic party that right-wingers say were responsible for slavery, as those labels of old Democratic party and new Republican party switched DECADES ago) have a history since Reagan of having to cleanup the mess of Republican administrations, and this time it will be NO DIFFERENT.

That's IF, this current crazier than ever (since slavery/civil rights era) Republican party doesn't manage to accomplish exactly what they intend, and that's to successfully turn the country into the far-right dictatorship I've already mentioned, which means they will ATTEMPT to rig elections to either let Trump continue to run indefinitely or simply rig them in a way that only far-right candidates can win.
