If Sixers keep their pick (it's top6 protected), they will have a harder time to keep Yabusele. To keep Yabusele, they had to use the standard MLE on him, which will hard cap them at the first apron. If they have to pay a top6 rookie salary, it will be even more challenging for them to stay bellow that hard cap.

Not wanting OKC to get a pick in the 7th to 10th range might not be the only reason to root for Sixers losses this season.
im not planning anything around yabusele. he'll turn 30 next season. he's been good for philly, but i dont see him as a pivotal must-have piece, nor is there any lock that the spurs would aggressively target him or that he'd have mutual interest

Who’s that big ass coach of ours it seems his main function is to be the first coach off the bench to break up fights?

Yeah, I found that part funny... like Castle wearing the full leg pajamas. I wonder what instruction these guys are given for these team photos.

Also have found it interesting that Keldon has been going primarily with the loose t-shirt undershoot look as of late. He's gone with form-fit shirt, no undershirt and now old loose t-shirt vibes this year.

Klay Thompson getting the end of the stick. Stuck on that team while his former team is making the playoffs.

Watching the Mavs franchise crumble in space of a month is another reminder how fleeting and momentary these so-called Championships windows can be. If the Spurs get Wemby back healthy and playing at borderline MVP level, we should absolutely fast-track the timeline and go for it.

They were the second best team in the West till Christmas and OKC toughest matchup. It's all gone just like that.

I guess you talking about Matt Nielsen, former Austin Toros coach and Aussie.

And the Mavs were looking damn good. They’d almost built the perfect team around Luka.

Even improved over last year with the addition of shooting and defense with Klay Thompson, Quentin Grimes, Naji Marshall and only lost DJJ.

They probably would have made the Finals again tbh and matched up a bit better against Celtics with their roster changes and would have matched up very well against Cleveland.

Crazy times. That trade is still fishy as but oh well.

trading away a 25 year old mvp caliber superstar is a pretty unique cir stance that doesnt really happen. but for that, they absolutely would have an ongoing championship window

The thing with Luka is no one in the league can control the pace of a playoff game/series like Luka can.

We’ll see that again this year with the Lakers.

Shai with 47 and counting against HOU... I presume they've had Amen on him most of the game... just goes to show, there is no defense that can truly shut down the league's brightest stars, so what Sochan has done defensively against elite players is pretty impressive.

I haven't watched much Lakers games at all, but weren't they 8th or 9th before the Luka trade? Do they have a good enough roster to be second overall in the West? ing Mavericks and Nico gifting them another window.

Btw, I see someone mentioned Kyrie? Did he get hurt?
