Ugh really feels like this is the year to get a lottery pick out of the Dejounte trade and then it's downhill from there on our draft luck after Jalen Johnson gets healthy again
Man the Hawks have won so many close games this year coming back to win it is crazy
Wouldn't be surprised to see Trae moved this summer, though. Even if they aren't expected to be bottom tier team (ala Wizards) the Hawks certainly don't look like they will be legit contenders any time soon. Rumblings are that Trae will look for a situation that is closer to a le and the Hawks clearly positioned their payroll to account for that.

Hawks are gonna get the 8th seed at worst, maybe even 7th. They have the second easiest remaining schedule in the league ahead of only the Raptors.
Gonna have to root for a playin upset. Hopefully Miami wins the first game and Hawks get beat by the Magic/Bulls/Raptors.
At the end of the day even if the Hawks make the playoffs pick 15 or 16 ain’t too shabby.

Everyone better accept that the Hawks pick will not be lottery. It’s sad and unfortunate, we all thought we’d get a top 10, but this is just the reality of things.

Yeah, your going to see some major tanking and teams fighting each other to get lottery positions. With all the injuries lately I would not be surprised if we are picking 12th with our pick and Hawks pick being around 19 to 21
I am now submitting my theory that NBA teams are deliberately conceding sacrificial Ws to the Hawks to dilute the ATL FRP because they are cowards who are afraid of Wemby/Castle/Fox and don't want to play a role in handing the Spurs a free top 4 pick via ATL

I should also admit I underestimated Trae Young. Still won't really want him in SA but he has been strong.

Yeah another aspect that I underestimated when considering the ATL 25 FRP potential value. People warned that the bottom 4-8 would be an immediate dogpile this season for the Flagg sweepstakes and that has disproportionally affected how low ATL can realistically sink.
