Late one tonight in Sacto. Spurs really need to be piling up losses right now, but also wouldn't mind stealing this one after the way King's fans have trashed Fox nonstop since he left. Hopefully he at least goes off. Let's get it.
De'Aaron not exactly taking the PC route here either though tbh
Noone mentioned the most important thing - Sabonis is also out.
Spurs should be winning this one, tbh.
Kings Reddit treating this game like their Super Bowl. Apparently the game is sold out (lol). Fox is definitely going to get booed every time he touches the ball. Hoping he drops 30 on 'em tbh.
About to go to the store and replenish edible stock.
Go Spurs Go!
Feel like Wemby and Fox have sort of hit it off tbh. I think those two are gonna be homies. With that said, why the is Wemby wearing purple tbh
looks like another game where austin spurs fans have to search thru a thousand channels to find this ing game...
probably not showing here again....
Can't wait until Doug Christie gets on the microphone and tells the crowd not to boo D Fox.
Too bad Pop couldn't make the trip... no courtside microphone would be safe!
Every time we play SAC I have to remind myself that I get the SAC sports channel out here, which means I'm forced to listen to Mark Jones and Kayte Christensen, who Kings fans seem to hate, but I kind of enjoy. Can't wait for Mark Jones to fall into old habits with some cringe-worthy Fox poetry.
Mark Jones is basically a character from Get Out tbh![]()
Fox is chirping quite a lot so I can see why it doesn’t sit well with Kings fans. Kick their asses though.
He keeps getting asked about it but yea, he's not particularly filtered which I kind of like personally, but will definitely rub Kings fans the wrong way.
Their fan base should largely be blaming their front office though. They didn't do enough to put a winning roster together out there and Fox had 5 HC's in 8 years... that's absurd and screams "dysfunctional." I don't blame him for leaving one bit. Just glad it benefited us tbh.
I see the Kings fans being mad for a year or two, but not holding on for 6 or 7 like many Spurs fans. They’ll realize that at some point, they were in a bad job environment and left, and that’s all Fox did. He didn’t fake injury for almost an entire season, and run off to NY to hide from the team like mute cancer.
I hope Fox has a great game, but I’m good with us losing for better draft odds.
But he really isn’t the bad guy here. Sac didn’t want to pay him and he didn’t want to go anywhere else. It’s not like he faked an injury and hid from the team. That’s Kawhi stuff. Kawhi deserves boos for quitting on the Spurs with two years left on his deal. Fox did his job and he would’ve continued to do it until he became an unrestricted free agent.
Whoops as you can see, I agree with you.
Sacramento offered him a couple of extensions that he didn’t sign, but when it became clear that he wouldn’t make All NBA this year and be eligible for the SuperMax and that the annual $$ would be roughly the same in Sacto or elsewhere, he told them he was leaving when his contract was up.
Watched the Kings play the Nuggets the other night w/out Monk and Sabonis and they actually looked pretty damn good for most of it. Expecting a rough one for the Spurs tonight, Lavine lit the Spurs up already this season and I wouldn't be surprised to see it again.
DeAaron as Sacto’s Kawhi. I wonder if Doug Christie would take that mic and tell fans not to boo him![]()

Yeah, Fox was not the problem here. Just the kangz being the kangz. Fox was right to get out when he could and not waste his career in that screwed up organization
