More and more evidence players are looking flat out worse playing in our system.

You have a fringe all-star with occasional explosive scoring prowess (40-60 points games) suddenly turning into a run-of-the-mill guard and i am supposed to believe we don't have a coaching issue..

We do have a coaching issue, because our Hall of Fame coach had a ing stroke and the interim coach obviously wasn't expecting to be the head coach, but you don't just fire an interim coach mid-season after your Hall of Fame coach has a ing stroke.

Not sure why this is so hard for some people to understand.

He's surrounded by trash on the perimeter. Not a spot up shooter so when Paul or Castle have the ball and he is in the game he is just sort of standing around. Seems to be mentally checked out on this season and I don't blame him.

Ever made a big life change that you thought was exactly what you wanted... and then realized you made a horrible mistake that put you in a funk after?

Yeah kind of wonder if that's how De'Aaron is feeling right now. Though having Wemby back next season and hopefully a good pick plus a decent MLE signing and a coach should hopefully cure that .

Another data point in how the spurs system just makes everyone worse.

The entire offensive and defensive schemes are re ed, it’s like watching freaking high school ball. The entire thing is absolutely incomprehensible and amateur garbage. It’s the worst way for young players to start their careers here.

    maybe its the system.
Some players come here & struggle while, others leave & play better.

obviously its our coaching and system.Even before wemby injury we were forcing fox and cp3
for our starting guards.Knew our coaching staff was a joke and werent serious about winning at that moment.

It must be to do with a prearranged deal. I refuse to believe the coaching is that incompetent as even a amateur coach would know that combo wasn't likely to work to begin with. Even if you wanted to try that thinking it might work, in the very least, a competent coach would have changed it soon after seeing it's not working.

Maybe it's because Victor went out, coupled with his finger needing surgery, maybe he's a little dejected with all that after asking for a trade to get here. He might even have some doubts thinking it was a mistake (I don't blame him if he does as I'm sure his system is in a bit of shock right now seeing how it's turned out so far). If it's not anything to do with any of that and it's just the way he's getting played, well, it's making Fox look really, really bad.

Ah, so you do you admit Fox’s play has been a little worrying. Hopefully surgery and wemby help
    Next season

It’s not like he came from a juggernaut. Think this was always about next season, but that accelerated once Vic went down. Now if he plays like this next season I’d be concerned.

Starting a 6' + 6'3" back court is essentially tanking without having to admit it. Add Wemby sitting, and the entire situation has to be a bit depressing for Fox. Fox has been about a net neutral defensive player his entire career, but now he has to guard SGs who are taller and heavier than him, rather than PGs over whom he sometimes has a physical advantage, so it's kinda like "welcome to the team, we're going to put you in a suboptimal scenario right away, ok?"

    Nothing...

He is an intelligent man and knows the plan when wemby returns...he made sure his career would be defined when he and wemby take over along with a new coach next year...
