Before when I looked at Memphis (before LaRavia's trade to the Kings), I thought that both Jake and Santi were good free agent targets but that Jake would be an easier get, being unrestricted. Now I'm starting to hope for both of them. As a pair, they'd be a really solid addition. I think the Spurs still need a #2 guy-- sorry, I don't think Fox is it, though he can be a #3 guy imo-- but the addition of LaRavia and Santi would completely solidify the depth, and put the Spurs in the discussion for a serious playoff run. With LaRavia, it's just a question of convincing him to be a glue guy on a Wemby led team, and I don't think he'd be overly expensive. Aldama <might> require at least a bit of an overpay, so that's the ultimate question: do the Spurs like him enough to overpay him, which I think is plausible, especially if it's a sign and trade situation where they send back something to the Grizzlies. Landing those two would be an incredibly successful off season to me.
