Five-star TE Mark Bowman of Mater Dei talks about his recent visit to Texas (On3):
“I was there from Thursday-Sunday, so I saw everything,” Bowman told On3. “I was able to tour the campus, see the facilities, check out the dorms, spend a lot of time with the coaches, sit in on meetings, talk to players and watch practice.”
“They really made me feel like a top priority. They put a lot of time into me on this trip. I met with the coaches, the General Manager and they all made me feel special. It was great.”
“I really enjoyed the visit. I was there for multiple days, so I got a great feeling for everything. It was my fourth time there, so I knew a lot about Texas, but to get more time with the coaches, talk to players, see practice and see what it would be like showed me a lot."
“Texas is impressive. They have a lot that I like.”
“I got to ask them questions, talk to them about Texas and get answers I know would be real,” Bowman said. “Everything they told me was positive about Texas. It was great to be around them and hear what they had to say."
“Overall, the visit was great. I took everything in and I had a great time. The whole visit went well.”

They are hearing it won't require surgery.
The staff was expected to pursue a TE in the spring portal regardless.
Simmons at On3 says Texas is the team to beat right now.
Bowman is currently planning on a commitment closer to Signing Day, but he's hearing that could be moved up.
