i have a trade deficit with my local supermarket since i keep buying their goods but they don’t buy mine. That’s not a bad thing. I am a consumer. The us as a whole is wealthy and accordingly a huge global consumer. Trade deficits are just a function of that.
their solution to the non existent problem of having a deficit with the local market is to make their goods so expensive that we can barely buy stuff from them anymore
