Why would anybody plan to move a manufacturing plant which will take years to become operation when tariffs policies are improvised on a day to day basis

drove Vietnam straight into the arms of China

Trump's strategy of using huge tariffs and the threat of even bigger tariffs to force other countries to submit to US domination doesn't seem to be working as planned

Well aware of the date. Unlike you I actually read past the headline of articles I link.

China's meeting with Vietnam was planned weeks ago. Do you think Vietnam is now suddenly cancelling meetings for tariff negotiations with the US because of a pre-planned meeting with China?

I posted the link because winehole's claim "drove Vietnam straight into the arms of China" is laughable

Are we actually meeting with anyone?

    What is the goal?

Permanent high tariffs or no tariffs?

Do you have a date in mind when the average American will start to see all the winning that Trump is doing start to add up in their bank accounts?

TAIWAN CHIP GIANT DROPS $100B ON U.S. SEMICONDUCTORS—TOTAL INVESTMENT HITS $165B

TSMC just doubled down on America’s chip game.

The Taiwan-based giant is pumping another $100B into U.S. operations—adding three new fabs, two advanced packaging plants, and a major R&D center to its Phoenix footprint.

That brings its total U.S. investment to a staggering $165B, the largest foreign direct investment in U.S. history.

Tens of thousands of high-tech jobs, 40,000 construction gigs, and Arizona crowned as the microchip capital of the West.

TSA thanking Ol' Joe once again:

TSMC received $6.6 billion in direct funding and $5 billion in low-cost loans through the CHIPS Act to build a foundry in Arizona.

Are we gonna start making iPhones here or is Trump's folding on those permanent?
