Atlanta will be a tough out against Bulls or Heat and they have home court, but hey, either team could be the Hawks and that is all you can ask for is a chance.

Tbh, I hope Heat wins tonight.
They have a certain standard for important matches and even though their current team is poor, Spoelstra will get the best out of them and it should be enough to beat the Hawks in most games.
Bulls seem to have a higher ceiling with more firepower, but I don't trust Donovan. Not enough experience on that roster, who knows if they can show up two elimination games in a row.

Spo’s juju came from the Heatles and Butler. Heat sputtered to the finish line, while CHI finished 17-8. All other things aside, in 8 tries over 4 post seasons, no #10 has played in.

    Go Bulls.

Yeah, Jimmy coached some of those G-leaguers they had around him to two finals.

As for #10 seed making it, there's a first time for everything. I just want the Hawks to lose, no matter who gets the job done.

Bulls have been playing much better basketball lately so I think they have a better chance to win 2 in a row.
Don't care too much as long as ATL loses again.

This is why I'm rooting for Miami. They have more experience in these type of games. I mean Atlanta (with home court) could beat them, but they won't beat themselves..

So sick of conference imbalance, man. If Spurs don't win the lottery or get into Top 4, i really hope Flagg and the Top 3 picks end up in the East. Don't care who gets what..

If the calls are fair, should win in 6. Gotta blow their asses out a few games and not have the refs decide it.
Yeah, don't think Rockets can win the series if the games are a nip-and-tuck affairs that comes down to a possession or two. Let's face it, the ratings are deep in Adam Silver mind and he is just not gonna let the golden goose opportunity of Warriors-Lakers series slip by. Honestly, If that Doncic-to-Lakers has a 'collusion element' to it, the league had a sneaky facilitating role somewhere in. That ratings narrative was getting too loud and started to dominate the airwaves and social media. The solution? Set up the Lakers for the next decade

Will be interesting to see Jimmy free throw merchant Butlers FT count this series against one of the best defensive teams in the league.

    Post from Reddit.

    https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comment...are&utm_term=1

Why is Jimmy Butler getting a generationally high Free Throw Rate?
Since Butler joined Miami, he's averaged a .610 FTr over the last 6 years, which is more than double LeBron's rate over the last 6 years (.287), higher than Shaquille O'Neal's career FTr (.578), higher than Wilt's career FTr (.505), it's higher than Jordan's 6 years during each 3 peat (.335). He's got a higher FTr over the last 6 years than even Joel Embiid does for his career (.553).

How is Jimmy Butler getting a better whistle than some of the greatest of all time at scoring in the paint?

Edit: He also has a higher FTr than Harden and Wade's prime years. His FTr is also dramatically higher than his Chicago-Philly years. Has he become better at attacking from ages 30-35 than 23-29?

Edit 2: He's got a higher FTr than LeBron's years in Miami (.445) which is arguably the most dominant attacking of the rim by a player since 2000 Shaq.

Also, maybe this should be it's own post, but LeBron barely has a higher FTr over these six years than Steph Curry (.259) even though LeBron this year gets 64.5% of his points 0-2ft from the rim, significantly above league average, whereas Curry scores below league average 0-2ft from the rim.

The Bulls are re s for not instantly shutting things down the moment they traded Lavine.

The kings losing this 9-10 play in game would be so funny and ironic.

It would be the equivalent of them pissing away the 11 or 12th draft pick for nothing while having essentially full ownership/control of it by just losing 1 or 2 extra games down the stretch.

All to have the 9-10 game at home instead of on the road.

Meanwhile, the Heat will keep its own 2025 first-round pick only if it loses in the play-in round and thus misses the playoffs. If the Heat makes the playoffs, Miami would send its 2025 first-round pick to Oklahoma City but would keep its 2026 first-round pick. The Heat also owes a future first-round pick to Charlotte as part of the Terry Rozier trade. If the Heat misses the playoffs this week, OKC would get Miami’s unprotected first-rounder in 2026 and Charlotte would get the Heat’s unprotected first-round pick in 2028.

This is actually a massive incentive for Miami to go all in and make Playoffs this season..The East projects to be better next year and they could run the risk of handing a Top 8 pick to--you guess it-- OKC..

Good flag. Could you imagine if OKC got Dybanza next year?!
