Cal TE Jack Endries is on campus.
I can't get it to load, but he took a pic with Sark inside the stadium.
Johnson-Cook spoke with 247 after being offered by Texas.
His film is worth the watch if you haven't seen it yet.
"I was born and raised in Decatur, Illinois and I moved to Arizona for two years when I was in fifth grade. And then I moved back up to Illinois my seventh grade year, and I was there in Illinois for my eighth grade year and half of my freshman year. After football season my freshman year, I moved down to Katy, and then I stayed at Katy for about six months and went through offseason with them. And then I moved up to DeSoto in July and I've been here ever since."
"It was kind of out of the blue," Johnson-Cook said. "I went to the coaches office to say what's up to coach, and the recruiting coordinator at my school was like 'come here, you gotta call somebody' and then he showed me and he was like 'it's Texas!'. He said I had to call them at a certain time, so I did. Got on facetime with coach Josh (Dunson) and coach (Chad) Scott too. And he offered me and said he liked my film and stuff like that. So that's really how it went down, it was kind of out of the blue."
"They didn't clarify," Johnson-Cook said on what position Texas sees him playing. "But I'm pretty sure they offered me for running back. He showed me the wall of all the running backs that had went there like Ricky Williams and the guys like that so I'm pretty sure the offer is for running back."
"A good amount of my offers are for running back, and the rest of them are for athlete where they'll see when I get there."
"When I went up there for the spring game, it was cool. The fans were out there showing they have good culture and I got to see a close up of all the running backs last year. How their program is going, I feel like they're gonna end up winning a National Championship in a few years and I like that and the coaches. Coach Scott, he just got there like a month ago but I can tell he's a good coach already and I feel like he'll help them get to the natty."
"If I do choose to play running back at the next level, that kinda means a lot, that they know how to do it. Texas obviously hires good running back coaches if they've had the last two number one running backs in the NFL Draft. So I can tell that they know who is a good running back coach and they're obviously a good running back school too."
"Ohio State, Oregon, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Georgia, and LSU right now. Those are my favorites for right now."

Burton at OTF wrote this morning that Texas is not done in the portal, and there's more to come.
They have Syracuse DL Maraad Watson as one to watch.

Burton posted again about 30 minutes ago that Watson is one to watch.
He also said Watson isn't the last guy the staff is going after.
On3 had a snippet on this guy, and mentioned Texas as a team that wants a return specialist in the near future.
