Gonna be backbreaking if DET chokes this one away as well. They've been the better team both games, but the lights are shining too bright.

If this roster is the best Knicks could do after all those trades, they're in for a bad time a few years down the reoad.

Jokic with a lot of dumb mistakes on that last quarter, including that last shot instead of passing it to a wide open teammate.

Detroit got their first playoff win tonight since 2008... that is a pretty wild fact. They've missed the playoffs in 14 of the last 16 years, and in the two where they did make it, got swept in the first round both times.

Playoff Nephew don't around. Just gotta wonder how long his knee will hold up if he's gonna be required to put in this kinda effort almost every other night.

Playoff Kawhi back in Jordan mode like 2017 and 2019 playoffs. How many games before his knee implodes is the question.

Clips may have figured out the formula. He only played in 37 games this year so he may be able to handle the post season. At the end of Big Dave's career that's what I thought the Spurs should do, let him rest until the All Star break then use the last 30 games to get into game shape and rythym. It's all about the playoffs, baby!!! Having said that hopefully Playoff Harden will rear his ugly head and sink the Clippers even with Playoff Kawhi doing his thing.

Kawhi is the greatest basketball robot of all time - minus the maintenance and repair issues, of course.

I don’t think it will matter. He load manages all season, but as soon as the playoffs get a round or two deep,he breaks down. It’s not a ulative rest thing, it’s a too many games in a short period thing. Some time in the second round,he’ll lose his lift.

Kawhi is amazing, wow. I wish him good health this offseason. Honestly think they can come out the West if so.

I just watched the game, and as I've said the past few years, when Kawhi is healthy, he's still easily a top 3 player in the NBA. ing monster of efficiency. Back in the 2021 playoffs (last time he was fully really healthy IMO) before he tore his ACL, he was having one of the most efficient playoffs ever.
I also said if he were healthy, the Clippers probably win 1-2 Championships before now IMO. Too bad for him and the Clippers that his body hasn't held up. Let's see how he goes this playoffs. Even if healthy, it will be a hard task for them to win it, but they will have a chance if his body holds up with him playing well.

I think people tend to forget how many legacies were affected by the Bubble Championship of 2020. If Kawhi and the Clippers had won it that year, he would've been tied at 3 les with LeBron and Steph. It was viewed as an upset at the time, but now I think it's seen more as one of the earliest examples of Jokic's greatness.

The bubble messed up a lot. Some teams didn't take it seriously. I don't know, I just don't like that bubble year. Playing without fans made a huge difference as some players might/would have buckled playing on the other team's home court with their fans against them, but I think were able to play better than they would have due to not having to play real road games. I feel it let some guys off the hook.

Kawhi was also tired in game 6 and 7 of that Denver series (Nuggets were great, though, and that series is why I still have a decent amount of respect for Jamal Murray's game) carrying the Clippers without a lot of help that year. His teammates weren't ready for prime time at that point. They were ready the following year, but unfortunately, his injuries cost them a real shot at the Championship which they did have. I would have loved to have seen how Giannis would have went if he had to face an in-form Kawhi and Clippers in the finals instead of the Suns.
