Wemby is in Costa Rica having fun
you say that like its a bad thing
Wemby is in Costa Rica having fun
Looks like Wemby has been cleared for moderate physical/cardio activity. Good to see, tbh.
The amount of "blood clot, my ass; Spurs are tanking" in the comments and QTs of these circulating videos.. The meltdown is going to be glorious if we somehow get a Top 4 pick.
There is no way Victor sat out games to get a worse record. If that is what these clowns think, F them. We'll take a top 4 pick (maybe even top 1), then they can really complain.

Yea i know, but I understand where rival fanbases are coming from. Spurs getting Flagg and threepeating on ROY would shut down the league for the next decade.
Anyway, it seems like Wemby is off blood thinners and out of post-surgery convalescence period. No way they would allow him to hop on a 4-5 hour flight to Costa Rica to play recreational soccer with all the potential risks involved. Really good signs about his recovery process..
so he's about a month ahead of schedule which is a great sign. The news came out on February 20th. Plenty of time to work on his game now.
Watching the video, it has been speculated he likely had surgery/procedure on his right shoulder. Didn't really see any scar or evidence of it in the admittedly low quality video. Anyone else notice anything? Anyways, gotta assume the odds of him playing for France in August just ticked up a little.
Yeah, I guess I can see where other fans are coming from. Regardless, he definitely did not sit out for the Spurs to tank. And great that you brought up that he must be off the blood thinners if they've let him fly to Costa Rica. I wonder what he's actually doing there. Just holidaying?
He seems to like going to places with nice nature. He really doesn't seem like a concrete jungle person at all.
When you say he's a month ahead, are you basing that on him likely now being off the blood thinners and allowed to travel?
Gonna go back and watch the video again, but I don't recall seeing any good angles of his shoulder. Video quality isn't good either, though.
Scars? What you think he is using Medicare. He is in the upper echelon and getting top dollar doctors and techniques to limit down time and recovery. Laser incision damn microscopic cameras, the works.
it's still possible that Wemby never had surgery. the only source we have for this is from the French national coach, but he may have been referring to a non-invasive procedure rather than an actual incision. Fauthoux did use the word "operation" and not surgery.
the projected timetable for him being able to play with contact was 3 months. He's doing it after 2, so yeah he's a month ahead of being off blood thinners.
I know that he has been doing only light weight exercise but he looks skinnier compared to the beginning of this year. I'm hoping that he can gain 10-15 pounds before next season
I think he will play with the FNT this summer
Fox said he’ll be cleared in 8 weeks and that leaves some time to prepare
De'Aaron said Victor will be cleared in 8 weeks? If so, when/where did he mention this?
Jesus that looks comical against normal people
Not a fan of that ankle tweak at the end.

“I’m about I think almost four weeks post-surgery,” Fox said. “I should be cleared in another eight. I’ll be able to start doing basketball stuff, I think, in the next two. I’ve been able to work out for the past about a week and a half, since the womb started closing and I could start to sweat.
“We should be clear, me and Vic, should be cleared around the same time. So we’d be able to get together in the summer and be able to work with each other.”
I'm just so sick of seeing DPOY robberies committed at the expense of Spurs Big men. Wemby and Timmy going 0-3 in those years
is ridiculous.
Operation in French basically means surgery
yes, but surgery could also involve non-invasive procedures. and the coach could have easily misspoke.
