I told djohn, we have seen this movie before….

    gift away 1 game
    refs gift the warriors another
lose a game or two on stupidity and boneheaded plays
draymond gets away with and refs bend over backwards to keep from ejecting him

by game 5-6 you find yourself desperately trying not to get eliminated - as the front running gots play relaxed …

and this is how a more talented team loses to the nba darlings

Raymond adding to his mix tape of ed up plays with the masterful tangle up with Eason? was it and "accidentally" kick him in the head move that im honestly getting pretty tired of seeing over and over

NBA won’t pass up another opportunity of Curry vs LeBron. Watch the Lakers get 500 calls every game until they make a series comeback.

Lakers not doing well is expected. I was totally wrong on the warriors. Didn’t count on them being too good and I thought the rockets defence would be able to stifle a past his peak curry. Bucks is a disappointment, Indiana isn’t even a decent team and will be destroyed by the cavs in the next round though.

Was rooting hard for the pistons but then they got screwed over in the last game and lost a tight on the previous game.

Orlando isn’t a good team to begin with and I don’t trust paolo at all, that said the Celtics isn’t dominating as much as I thought they would.

OKC is just killing everyone. Memphis isn’t a good test but it would be hard to see any team in the west. Like cookie Kwan said “#1 on the west side”.

Nuggets are so poorly constructed but Jokic is just insane. To think that they gave his mvp to embiid a couple of years ago is just comical. NO question Jokic is the goat offensive player at this point. And also ring count is about as overrated as it gets when it comes to evaluating players, and that’s with Duncan winning five.
If you watch the Celtics vs Magic games; Paolo is pretty darn good.. too bad Magic has nobody except Banchero and Wagner to step up.. I think Black played pretty darn well..

The Cavs may not easily beat Pacers; Pacers will at least steal some games; it will be a good series.

Do you really believe the NBA and refs are really going to dig LA out of a 3-1 hole that blatantly?

Won’t be enough for a comeback because their team sucks outside of Luka and LeBron. But I expect a lot of BS calls next game. No way Silver is letting the Lakers get eliminated in 5 games with the ratings they bring.

Should have clarified. Not that I think paolo is playing poorly, I just don’t trust a team led by him. Likely the old head in me talking but I’m not a huge fan of his shot diet and think he should improve his efficiency but of course it would help if there are actual shooters on the magic to open up the lane for him. I also thought his defence is relatively poor which makes it hard to build around him. You’d have to put strong interior defneders who can shoot and those guys don’t grow on trees.

    Houston continues to be fascinating.

They're getting pretty good veteran foundational lift by Brooks and FVV. I mean, Brooks is a yappy little pup dog who doesn't actually win when it matters, but he adds a lot to the team. And FVV is incredibly inconsistent, but is one of the few scorers on the team.

Amen is having a topsy-turvy series and flack, but this is first go-through. His previous high end compe ion was the playoffs in freaking Overtime Elite.

Sengun is really good but will always need to be built around. (Which is fine.)

But... the rest is pretty uncertain. They've shot like 63% from the line the entire playoffs. Jalen Green ain't that guy. Jabari Smith apparently isn't good enough to start on this team.

It seems pretty obvious that they'll get a big deal done. Booker makes the team make more sense. I'm not sure he's the answer, but would be someone the defense has to focus on.

Most of all, hope to that PHX pick doesn't jump up in the lotto for them this year.

Has it? It feels like a team that's run its course. It was never quite good enough to truly compete, although it managed to get to the Finals as an eighth seed. He's terrific at finding bit players and Spoelstra is exceptional getting them to fit.

Butler just did his Jimmy thing and there wasn't a tremendous amount of talent there anyway. That Bam contract is pretty nasty, I'll admit.

They would likely have been in the Top 6 in the East with a motivated Jimmy, like if Pat Riley hadn’t yelled at the cloud. At that point, anything could happen.

I don't know what they expected tbh. A bit en led for no reason. GSW are savvy as , they've been here for dozens and dozens of games together plus Butler.

I don't totally remember, but iirc the team didn't want to extend Butler and that's really the issue. I don't think that's a bad decision. They weren't going anywhere with him and bulking up with a bad contract wasn't going to fix that. Probably best to break things down, but that may be hard. Their salary situation isn't the best.

I'm so tired of people lauding Dillon Brooks as some "veteran presence" who helps a young team. Yes, he can defend a good percentage of the time, but his emotions and immaturity always eventually get the best of him. He fouled out of Game 3 with a stupid foul, and then committed an incredibly costly foul at the end of Game 4. In no way is he a guy you want your young players to emulate. At best, he's one step forward and two steps back.
