What's funny is that the lottery has already happened. What we're waiting for is only the announcement of the results. I womder if anyone could ascertain who won based on the behavior of the real reps.

I thought everyone was locked inside of the room where the lottery actually happened until the unveiling was over, exactly to prevent trying to ascertain who won based on behavior of the people there.

Actually, we may know early on that the Spurs get a top-four pick. They're either going to be the first team revealed at 14 or will get a top-four pick. Then we'll know by the eighth pick if there's anything worth worrying about for the rest of the show
this is correct. the room where the actual drawing happens is sequestered. the person at the podium is NOT the person who is in the drawing room. for example during the wemby lotto, Holt was at the podium and Wright was in the drawing room
last year Wright was at the podium, i have no clue who the guy was in the drawing room. front row far right

No one outside of the draw room knows. They don’t let them out until after the TV spectacle. It’s two different sets of representatives. The ones on the outside don’t know until the envelopes are opened.

It would be hilarious if they conducted these things in the Presidential Suite of some Days Inn with paper thin walls so that the media in the next room over could hear everything... but fortunately I think the NBA is doing well enough financially to hold these things in a place with slight better sound proofing
