I would do that trade as long as we keep #2 and #14 in this years draft. Basically Castle and Harper would replace Vassell and Johnson. Phoenix is hungry for future draft picks obviously.
I'm out on 3 1st's + Devin + Keldon for KD

Luke Kornet 8-9-1 in 20 minutes with 6 blocks, so far.
And now a reverse jam on a lob
Luke Kornet would be an excellent backup C option. Been impressed with him all season when I watched the Celtics. Didn’t even realise he was a FA until his name was brought up in this thread.
No way the Celtics can retain him surely with their payroll and still having Porzingis, Queta, Tillman under contract and likely re-signing Horford.
What are we thinking Kornet market value is? 3/$30M?
No one is giving first round picks for Durant. There is no need to. Suns need to trade Durant because they are capped out and are paying a fortune for a non-playoff team. They just hope to get some young players back, but literally no reason to trade draft picks unless you want to send a bunch of 2nd rounders.
Guys
This has to be one of the great offseasons in Spurs history
Almost an infinity of possibilities
Incredible!
The Suns will be in a for rude awaking once they see the offers for KD. We keep treating Keldon and Vassell like salary filler here, but they have value on their own. Not sure why we’d toss in 3 FRP on top of that.
Like HOW much better of an offer is out there for KD than DV/KJ/14 right now?
The Rockets can do better with their lottery pick and Jabari smith and at least one of their picks back
But they can't absorb that much salary. They'd have to include Sengun, Green, or FVF as well and maybe Brooks to make the salaries work.
A lot of teams can do better, the thing is that they don't want to.
Imo, Nuggets would be the best fit for KD.
MPJ, FRP and salary filler. Suns wouldn't add any extra years compared to KD's contract.
I think Houston will find that too rich honestly. Plus as noted before they need to make the math work.
I'd be open to Kornet being a good addition. Hauser might also be available since Celts will be trying to shed some salary this summer.
Houston’s lottery pick IS one of the Suns picks. Doubt they want to give two of them back for KD.
Maybe Hawks could trade for him if they had their draft picks![]()
I wouldn’t mind having Okongwu, maybe a deal could be worked out
Does Ron Harper Jr. have any potential? Anybody actually know anything about him? I thought he was a guard, but I looked up his profile and seems that he's a SF/PF. At 6'6," seems he has a bit of weight on him as he's listed at 245lbs. Not saying I want him or anything, I was just a bit surprised to see he's a SF/PF, as without knowing anything about him, I assumed he was a SG/PG.
Luke Kornet looked really good in Boston's game 5 win the other day. I was impressed with his play, so I'd definitely be interested in getting him. I figured he was a free agent since fans here have been mentioning him. Good looking out on that one. Definitely a possibility along with Steven Adams IMO. I think it would come down to cost. I'd probably rather Kornet due to his age, but Adam's toughness along with his screen setting really have me kind of excited. I just wonder what either of them would cost.
KD and Giannis, I don't really have much interest in now unless the 1st round draft pick cost isn't too high. KD, I'd only give up 1 or 2 max with mostly players going the other way. Giannis, not sure, that's a tougher one. I think he's just too costly to go after and it could end up being too short term of a move. I'd rather a great future than a short term contention like Nico was going for with his re ed move trading Luka (he never should have gotten rewarded with that number 1 pick).

All reports indicate that Harper is pretty much a sure in allstar player. He has been compared to Cade Cunningham, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Brunson, and a young James Harden before his shot took off. He has been around the NBA with his dad, who won with MJ mutliple times. He has a level head, clutch, has star dome around him.
I think Ice is asking about Dylan's older brother, Ron Jr.
I meant his brother (Ron Harper Jr.). I'm assuming you thought I was asking about Dylan? I was asking about his older brother who's been in the league for 3 years, but only played 11 games. I thought his brother was a smaller player, but saw he weighs 245lbs and is a SF/PF, so that is why I was asking if he's any good due to the Spurs actually needing a SF/PF. I was curious what sort of game he has.
I'm not questioning Dylan at all.
Just was interested to know what type of player his older brother is, and if he's worth bringing in to take a look at as I assume he might be a FA this off-season.
Oh right. https://www.nbadraft.net/players/ron-harper-jr/
It appears he is not an NBA athlete being his biggest downfall.
Thanks. Darn. Looks like he's also short at 6'4" without shoes and weights 240lbs. The player profile said he could stand to loose weight to get a bit quicker, but if that is the case, I don't see how he could play PF at that height. Oh well, doesn't look like he's worth a look. I wish him well.
