Checkmate, Height-Truthers?

Just realized we can field this highly unique team
Wemby, Point Center
Danny Wolf, Point Forward
Castle, Point Wing
Harper, Point Guard
Fox, Point Guard/Court General
Pretty dope!
Is wemby expected to play on opening night?
Wemby is going to play this summer for France.
Is there official release of him getting cleared for full contact? If so that’s great!
damn. Why would he need to play for france when there is no world cup or olympics this year? I think he should rest this summer so that he’s fresh and well rested for next season run. And also no excuse for coaching staff to play him 30 minutes per game or less. Stupid decision by him. Smh

He played 33 minutes per game.
but too many games with minutes restrictions.
Don’t you see what happens to players that play 40 minutes per game in these playoffs? 33-34 is totally fine for Wemby.
yes but to play this for france is a stupid decision.he shoud use his time this summer to rest. Its just give coaching staff an excuse to restict his minutes to 30 minutes per game next season which is his 3rd season.
He’ll always play for France because he wants to represent his country, it’ll be a huge part of his legacy. Get over it.
yeah but it is a stupid decision for him to do it this year especially he has a blood clot illness.

Wemby playing for France is a good thing - it means he’s healthy.
So it means he will play on opening night too and play next season with no fatigue issue or fatigue excuses?
If he’s cleared to play France,he’s cleared to play anywhere.
As a player expected to anchor the defense and be the offensive engine, he will be fatigued at times, but that would be true whether he played for France or not.
They didn’t restrict him last year, only his rookie season.
better for hin to rest this summer espcially coming from a blood clot illness.
rest for what? He hasn't played a basketball game since mid February. That's more than enough rest.
Better to stay in shape and not come into camp getting winded and not ready due to so much time off.
Injuries can happen anywhere at anytime.
I'd rather him out there keeping his cardio up in gametime matters and getting his body back to used to playing.
He's been resting since February. That is 6 full months without playing assuming he were to play in the Euros. He's 21, he needs to play basketball.
The DVT is either fixed, or it isn’t. Playing for France won’t change his condition, only reveal the outcome. I don’t believe he will have further problems, because guys like Ausar and BI have had this same thing, and come back without effect. That being said, if there are problems, they won’t be caused by playing for France, they would be revealed no matter when he resumed playing.
Wemby is French and believe it or not most Europeans have playing for their national team higher on their priority list than playing for their NBA team.
What can the Spurs do about it? Absolutely nothing.
Wemby doesn't want to skip tournaments with such a stacked team that should win medals wherever they show up.
He hasn't played a game since 5th of February. Do you really want him to be without serious basketball for more than 8 months?
If blood clot issue is chronic then we're all ed either way. Playing or not playing at Eurobasket won't change a thing.
