If KD had, say, 3 years left on his contract would you say the Spurs might have much less of a chance to get him? It's the 1 year left and needing to see eye to eye on what the next contract might look like that is limiting suitors and possibly playing into the Spurs hand?
Because every offer that came out is probably BS fed to reporters by Phonix's FO hoping someone is stupid enough to bite. They leaked Houston's offer was centered around Jabari Smith and later came out he was off the table, same with Toronto and Poeltl... Ishbia thinks other team's front offices are as stupid as his, and he's finding out they're not. It's borderline sad to watch how their desperation keeps rising and leaves them exposed.
Ishbia doesn't realize that the worse he acts in this situation, the worse he'll have it in the future when it comes to relationships with other GMs and more importantly agents.
Nephew completely bent us over and PATFO had every right to just keep him in the doghouse for a year, but they saved face and kept their reputation which is doing a lot of work now.
He messed up, and painted himself into a corner with only two scenarios: either he’s not an insider like he claims and didn’t know what was happening, or he was ball washing Ishbia. Neither is good for his reputation.

Sorry man, I’m incredibly triggered by this and getting major Iraq 2003 vibes. I don’t share your analysis on Iran’s capabilities, nor do I think the USG has sufficiently made the case as to why we are obliged to take orders from Netanyahu.
I despise Trump on most things, but one of the few places I agreed with him was on disengaging us from wars we don’t need to be involved in. And here we are, on the precipice of another. This is real world stuff, and I would just ask people to think for themselves before accepting this White House’s talking points as gospel.
