I think Nunez' recovery time is six months so I wouldn't expect him in SL at all even if he wasn't under contract in Europe.

The most interesting prospect so far that the spurs are adding to the summer league roster is Jacksen Moni.

If you want to read a scouting report on him:

I went and watched a game in Austin last year. Ingram was effectively invisible.

I like him a lot as a person, but he doesn't appear to be a viable NBA prospect.

Hopefully I'm wrong. It's a very small sample size. But against the low compe ion of the G-League you'd hope he stood out at least somewhat to have any hope in the big league.
I'm hoping for improvement, but Manix is who I'm most interested in. He's got a skillset that we might be able to use if he's fully recovered.

wasnt he averaging near triple doubles? No one is expecting a crazy playmaker but if he’s making shots, securing rebounds, and making all the right passes - that’s all you can ask for

I agree. Minix is very interesting. He did tear his labrum on January 1st, so this will probably be his first organized basketball in a while and I expect some serious rust. But he feels like the perfect kind of guy to put on a 2-way, plant in Austin, and just see what happens.

    Triple doubles? No.

    Harrison Ingram (32 games)
    32 MPG
    12.8 PPG
    9.5 RPG
    4.1 APG

    42% FG
    28.3% 3PT
    57.1% FT

He was billed as a potential 3&D guy. But his defense is pretty bad and he can't shoot the 3 especially well.

For comparison, here is Riley Minix (admittedly in only 3 games, due to injury)

    Riley Minix
    24 MPG
    12.7 PPG
    4.7 RPG
    1.3 APG

    50% FG
    43.8% 3PT
    100% FT

I agree. Minix is the guy. A big three-point shooter, just what they need more of.

But he's coming off an injury and he won't have that long runway for success (like those more coveted draftees PATFO's reputation is invested in). He may have to show it this year.

I'm really hoping and rooting for him.

This is fairly normal scheduling with the top five draft picks in a round robin in Thomas & Mack.
The Lakers are always in Thomas & Mack because they pack the stadium.
Jazz & Suns are moderate travelers.
Meanwhile, non-Summer League, tourists are way down but for from LA.

Correction: Dallas vs. Lakers is not the normal round robin.

How many games does Harper or other lottery picks play in summer league. Victoria was like 2. Same with Castle. Better catch the first two games.

I'm pretty sure Duke Jr. isn't going to be a two-way player for a third season. There was no reason for the Spurs to keep Minix unless they liked him.

    That's the vibe I get.

They're going to give Minix every opportunity.

But if he doesn't perform in the near term, it's a numbers game.

There's probably one open slot -- the number is three. We'll have to see if he's even recovered enough to play.

Anyone been to Vegas Summer league before? I've got general admission tickets for Saturday, obviously I want to see Spurs and Mavs in Thomas and Mack...how does the entry work with regards to going back and forth from the Pavillion and the Thomas & Mack? Earlier the better I am guessing?
