Yep. And, I'd do it again. Especially when you look at how the State of New York had to bend the rules on the Statute of Limitations to prosecute him and how they failed to identify the specific predicate crime that raised the out-of-date crime to a felony. I'd do it again, in a heartbeat. I predict the convictions will be overturned and dismissed with prejudice and that you'll no longer be able to say I voted for a felon; because, he won't be one. Time will tell but, in any case, it doesn't bother me one whit because, he's kicking ass as President.
Right, just don't ever state you love law and order.

They really will never admit they want to deport people just based on ethnicity. They want any excuse....... like they were eating pets.

... and then they'll get ready for church on Sunday

so glad US Customs is preventing subversive cultural exchanges and the apparent danger of Czech-extremist clarinets

Several concerts in Nebraska featuring a Czech musician had to be canceled after the man was refused entry into the country earlier this week.

Jaroslav Skuta, a clarinetist from the Czech Republic, was scheduled to play four concerts - Saturday in Wilber, Sunday in Omaha, Monday in Lincoln and Tuesday in Fremont.
But he posted Friday morning on the International Clarinet Association’s Facebook page, saying that he had been detained by immigration officials at the airport in Detroit and refused entrance to the country.

“For hours I was in their custody – phone and all devices confiscated, very rude bullying interrogation, threatening me with jail time. After (a) couple hours of this, they ultimately ordered to send me back home to Prague,” Skuta wrote.

“I had proper do ents for the projects I was invited to – I was supposed to visit multiple Czech communities in Nebraska and Ohio with my friends there and perform chamber recitals in their community spaces and churches. This was planned as like sharing Czech classical music with Czech communities in the U.S.,” he wrote.

The immigration office didn't believe me and they were ready to be done with me from the start. It was (a) devastating experience, but I hope I could come to the U.S. in the future when the country administration changes.”

Officials from U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Transportation Safety Administration could not be reached for comment.
The concerts were organized by the Czech Culture and Education Foundation of Nebraska.

Being convicted of a felony, particularly through a politically motivated prosecution, does not disqualify one from being elected President and making America great, again.

Funny all the critical jobs that you actually cannot get as a felon. But go figure no one ever thought to include president.

Well, if they were prosecuted by Alvin Bragg (who ran for office with the singular objective of "getting Trump"), assisted by Matthew Colangelo - who left his job as second-in-command of the DOJ to do so - and, if the prosecutor also stretched the tolling on their cases to make it fit in to a statute of limitation by less than a week; and, if the prosecutor just made up "possible" crimes (for which they were not convicted), in order to elevate the principal crime to a felony; then, yeah, I think all these cases you mention should be reviewed, regardless of the crime or the conviction.

As far as the midterms go.

Eh. Due to polarization it will be a purple ripple midterm like 2022.

2022 was Bidenflation+Afghanistan canceled out by muhbortion.

2018 was a blue-ish wave (Dems lost some legacy, red-state Senate seats) because the population was more progressive back then than now and there was more public woke, anti-Trump sentiment

2014 was a red wave because the hopey-changey pro-Obama movement was stale and so liberal progressive turnout was very low.

2026 won't have the prominent social issues on the ballot like in the past decade or two which helps the GOP, but I'm not convinced the MAGA base will turnout too much either given that they still feel accomplished from winning in 2024. I could see a very low turnout midterm in 2026. Democrats aren't exactly highly approved of, either.

Nope, I invented none of it:

FACT: Matthew Colangelo resigned from a senior position at the U.S. Department of Justice in December 2022 to join Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office as a top prosecutor on the Trump hush‑money case.
FACT: Had the Statute of Limitations not been tolled by the District Attorney's office, the statute of limitations would have expired on December 22, 2022. Bragg tolled the Statute of Limitations just long enough to exceed the March indictment date by about a week.
FACT: Bragg never provided a predicate crime which would have raised the crime for which he was accused to a felony. Bragg only suggested Trump committed the crime to possibly cover up another crime...given a range of possibilities without ever charging him with any of the crimes so, not only was a predicate crime not alleged, he was never charged or convicted of it.

President Trump's legal team is appealing on the basis of all three of these FACTS.

There's also the matter of Executive Privilege to be addressed.

he was convicted based on the evidence- period.
The only evidence presented in court was for a misdemeanor crime (falsifying business records) for which the statute of limitations had already expired - had Bragg not tolled the limit to take in the date of the alleged crime.

The evidence was weighed by a grand jury
    a trial jury
    a judge

    and the felon was CONVICTED.

This is how the law works and has worked for two centuries.
