Man, good thing we judged Wemby by his first summer league appearance. Carter is definitely a bust too.
carter gets beaten off the dribble (again) and is bailed out by the helping big with a block at the rim
next possession gets turned around on the ball, switches to the wing and watches as his new off-ball assignment walks to the basket for a cutting layup
then gets benched

weak ass fouls called against us.
Not always though. I remember Tony's debut was so good it got the Sonics to offer Gary Payton for him.
man those off the dribble pull ups really make you think Bryant could become a Rudy Gay type of player...
Didn't know Carter had that kind of jumper off the dribble nice
Bryant has had a couple nice stop-and-pop jumpshots in this game, and a nice three fading sideways ala Belinelli
Bryant doing a good job on the boards
Nice to see bryant can at least handle the ball abit.Gotta work on his passing tho.
carter used his length to force a couple of deflections in the last few possessions and impressively boxed out the big for a couple of rebounds.
definitely looks more confident defending down low than on any of his perimeter assignments.
A lot of TOs overall for the Spurs.
Doesn’t help Carter on offense that we have a bunch of “Me” guys with tunnel vision
The guard play is atrocious jones-Garcia and Nelson are black holes with the ball. They don’t even look to set team mates up.
Ingram will never sniff the NBA
i don’t know why we think 6’9” guys are centers.
can’t wait until Vegas when we will have a PG that can create and set up team mates
that woman ref was whistle happy this game and wanted to be seen too. Especially on Carter
That was my thought too. Too much selfish play from the guards
B- debut, I thought Carter moved nice on the floor, looked bigger than advertised, needs to clean some things up but not anything concerning that can’t be fixed
Yea hes a big guy.Should probably be guarding 2 thru 4s.Tho jakas is kinda sneaky with his movement.
Looks pretty stiff with his perimeter movement. Kind of an awkward stance where he's not really in an athletic position to move side to side. Someone mentioned his lack of lateral movement in his draft thread and I definitely saw that. Do think it's more of a coaching issue though. Has such an odd face up on the perimeter.
His shot looks legit. Off the dribble shouldn't be that smooth tbh. He seems to be a vassell type chucker though. He made some fancy shots but they werent exactly high percentage shots. Like some have said though, his teammates really aren't looking for him. Always the tough evaluation in summer league when everyone's playing for survival.
Itll be more entertaining when Harper plays a game with him to see how they set up.
It's always hard to tell if the new kids don't know the system yet or if it's just regular ol sloppy summer league ball that leaves everyone running around with the heads cut off.
Overall a pretty Intriguing kid.
Think he’s going to guard mostly 3-4 types and not too many 2’s. I don’t think he’s twitchy enough with the horizontal movement to handle quick guys with sharp handles. But he has the length to hold up on switches when necessary.
to me the biggest positive is that all 3 of his made field goals came off movement. I thought he was much more of a stationary shooter at this stage but that was promising to see.
Jameer Nelson Jr though. That kid was relentless and got some hops
He definitely looks bigger than advertised. If he finds relevance in the league he could carve out a nice career as a rotation 4.
I didn't watch, but Pelle Larssen is the type of Arizona player Carter Bryant couldn't get past on the roster, supposedly, because Larssen did play for Arizona.
Carter Bryant was always going to be a project! He should probably spend the entire season in Austin. Needs work on both sides of the ball. Has the athleticism and right at ude but the IQ is lacking.
Harrison Ingram looked a lot better than last summer league. Positive signs! He fits the mold of the type of player the Spurs like.
Everyone else I’m unsure about after 1 game. For the most part that game was rough to watch lol
