At the very least the Spurs could have kept the pick and gotten a better deal. It’s fine if they didn’t like him in workouts but I don’t think there’s anything to suggest he wouldn’t have been OK playing for the Spurs.
A nice summer league debut for Derik Queen as well. 13/10/3

Yes they did bro.He was there at 38 and we traded the pick.
Was that Justin Robinson on the Lakers coaching staff??
Just bumped into Mitch/RC/BWright
only wright stopped for a photo. Me and my kid in spurs jerseys i figured at least Mitch would oblige![]()
He also pegged Coward going first round months ago..
I love that ESPN is working so hard to make this game Flagg vs Bronny. Bonny's nickname should be Fetch.
Holding Harper out for a trade that's still probably in the works. Don't want to risk injury.
I was able to watch this game and honestly he was bad for like 80-90% of the time he was on the court.
He really struggled with his handle, his interior defense and fatigue/effort.
He played well towards the end of the run though which hopefully gives Pelican fans something to be excited for in the next game.
Other than spurs brass only person I’ve recognized is Jake Fischer![]()
To think we were so close to getting Flagg on this team and building a decade long dynasty.
Is Pop there too?
Yeah, the closer the draft came I found myself more and more drawn to Beringer's potential, but I also had Carter Bryant (and Coward and Sorber) among the group of players I was interested in and I understand his skill set is hard to find so I don't fault the Spurs for going with him.
Flaggs a bust
Bronny is such a scrub. The lakers deserve him
jones garcia needs to be signed asap
Rough first game for Flagg but was kinda expected. Even Wemby shot poorly in his SL opener.
That being said..He looks shorter/smaller than advertised out there (lol at ESPN calling him 6'10), more like a 6'7 dude

I could never get high on Sorber but I do think he will be a solid pro just the ceiling is limited plus he’s a heavy 260 pounds already at 19 and the foot injury is a concern. I was also drawn to the upside of Beringer, Bryant and Coward they were my top 3 choices at 14, as well as Fleming. I was ok with taking an upside swing at 14 which is what all of those guys are outside of maybe Coward who was more of a safer bet and os probably why he went the highest. Each of Bryant, Beringer, Fleming are high risk high reward imo.
Thanks for the report, I didn't watch so I was deceived by numbers!
Hope not.
Underrated part about Castle's rookie season was his durability (81 games played, 1 game missed with extra caution over a bump). He had an NBA-ready body from the get-go.
doesn't surprise me in the slightest. made a major leap as a rim protector down the stretch against really high level opposition in europe.
his fluid footwork is so obviously translatable and makes him very switchable. patience and timing on block attempts is incredible for an 18-year-old too.
no shooting will limit his ceiling obviously but even if he only becomes lively 2.0 then MIN could have their long-term gobert replacement.
slightly hypocritical because I lobbied for a veteran backup C all offseason but he would've been a nice pickup at #14. just glad OKC didn't steal him tbh.
I didn’t see him. My kid is bored as and has been begging me to leave since halftime of the lakers game
we just left after first quarter of spurs game
Flagg didn't play great, but he's such a complete player. They went hard at him and his handle is legit. I hope Harper makes me forget how close we came to getting him.
Sounds about like when I try to get my kids to watch the Spurs (or any sporting event) with me![]()
