Victor Wembanyama has announced he’s officially recovered from the blood clot in his shoulder :
“I'm officially cleared to return. It just happened — I got the green light from the Spurs' medical staff just a few hours ago (last Friday). Phew, I’ll finally be able to play a bit of basketball again !”

Hopefully somebody can post here.
They’ve been saying he’d be ready for the start of next season since the beginning, but I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t part of me that was skeptical. This is huge news and should give everyone a sigh of relief.
Oh yeah! I guess there wasn’t really any doubt by the demeanor of the FO and everybody. But now it’s official. Let’s fckin’ go!!!
Nba = Focked!
Wonder if they needed to put him on any continuing meds to prevent a reoccurrence.
Wemby, if under a pseudonym on this site, would get roasted for this take.
I felt the same way wemby does when durant was possibly coming here…
just did not feel another star was the right move because this is wembys team and wemby will lead his team with his group to ths promised land…
Wemby officially part of the PoF
Wemby’s a good dude and a great teammate. He’s never going to say anything negative about his teammates.
We got that covered here at SpursTalk.
Wemby is going to be a beast this season with some decent help for the first time.
So glad it's all good for him to get back in the gym and ball!
You can’t play on blood thinners, which is what would be used. None of the 4 major sports allow it. If you took a hard fall or hit, it could start an internal bleeding. Chris Bosh wanted to, but he lost that battle.
Someone buried the lede in the ESPN article. Wemby studied kung fu this summer, too.

There are protocols. Modern anticoagulants (DOACs) are out of the system in 24 hours. The presumption is his was a provoked clot for which long term anticoagulation is not indicated.

No long term outcomes data
The one giving them no trade clauses
Darn, sounds like he wouldn't be keen on a trade for Giannis then either.
