Cooper is the truth.
So what did you guys think of Cooper? I think I was wrong about Luka and my Manu comparison when he was first drafted. I thought Luka could be a Manu like player, as in, with intangibles as well as offense. He turned out to be a much better offensive player quite quickly, but never brought anything on the defensive end. I think Cooper is going to be that guy. He does it all and I love how hard he plays. Reminds me of Manu in that he seems to want to do whatever it takes to win the game. It's not all just about offensive with him. He's looking like he could be a souped-up Manu all round player that will do whatever is needed to win the game.
Cooper is the truth.

I thought Flagg would be above average. Not star. But I maybe wrong.
Makes sense. Two games seems to be the polite showing for the big names. Think it was the same for Wemby and Steph
I never agreed about the generational thing, but he can be something really, really good, like a white Jason Tatum.
Flagg can be a Scottie Pippen type, of which it would be an incredible player, borderline or even actual mvp. If he can up his offensive game he’d be incredible. Like a best of between Pippen and Paul George, a multiple time MVP. I’d call that generational.
Clifford could be the new Derrick White
There’s an MVP every year, but the generational one should win it every year.
Absolutely. I agree. He plays freaking hard and can do it all. If his offense matches the rest of his game, yeah, he could get into that stratosphere. Unfortunately, I'm going to watch Dallas games just because of Cooper. I hate that he went to the Mavs, but I really like him as a player.
That’s only bird Jordan LeBron and Jokic in the history of the league (wilt and Russell canceled each other out). I’d call that more than generational as I’d call those GOATs.
Even Shaq, Duncan, Robinson, Hakeem, and magic never had a stretch where they should’ve won the mvp for multiple years, and they were generational prospects who lived up to the hype when drafted.
But to clarify, I’m saying Flagg isn’t generational in my eyes right now, but if he could be a Pippen with a Paul George offensive game (should've added in with that winning at ude ala Manu) then he’d be a generational talent. Not that he’s a generational prospect now. You are looking at a TMac with killer d more or less. That would be better than Durant. But I doubt he’d get there.

SAS-CHA game tomorrow will knock someone out of the semis
The Timberwolves are in the most precarious position, having the worst net rating. Doubt they can make that up in one game. We need to beat the out of Charlotte.
almost-white stephie curry was the refs darling...untouchable...
actually-white cooper flagg will get moar foul calls than almost -white stephie!
book it!
I'm liking this Noyes guy. I missed when he was hired so I looked him up and he came from the developmental side of Memphis and I don't know if he was the reason or how much he had to do with it but Memphis was doing good player development and drafting recently.
So there's never been a generational guy in the history of the league?
Jordan won 5 of 13 with the Bulls (not counting his Wizards time). Lebron won 4 over a 20+ year career. Bill Russell got 5 of 13 as well. Wemby is 0 for 3 to date... Your expectations are much too high.
Did you see the phrase “did win it every year” in my post? No? That’s because it wasn’t in my post. All three of those guys should have won more than they did, a lot more, but it was often “someone else’s turn”.
Wilt > MJ > Bron > Wemby
Each was a freak in their own way, defying any kind of “type”.
They pulled him for the rest of SL.
So Spurs need to win tonight by like at least 18 pts
Torta is signing
San Antonio Spurs
On the team’s draft: “We were so fortunate to have that luck in the lottery. Getting Dylan (Harper) was just one of those things that happens and you’re so thankful for it. It was a cameo out here (Las Vegas), but you can see how special he is. A terrific compe or and I know our coaches are excited about watching him and De’Aaron (Fox) and Stephon (Castle) battling it out and making each other better,” a Spurs front office executive said. “Carter (Bryant) fits what we want too. He’s tough, he defends and we think there’s a lot more there offensively than what he showed in college. Really excited to have him.”
On adding size this offseason: “When Victor (Wembanyama) went down last year, it really showed that we needed more up front. The opportunity to sign Luke Kornet was perfect. He can start or he can come off the bench. The guys in Boston couldn’t have said better things about Luke as a person and a player. We’re thrilled to have him,” a Spurs front office executive said. “Then the chance to add Kelly (Olynyk) came up later, but we’re glad it did. We had a lot of guards after the draft, so we were able to move a couple of our younger guys to add Kelly. The best part with both Kelly and Luke is that they can play with Victor or they can play together.”
On a potential contract extension for De’Aaron Fox: “When we made that trade, we knew what the contract status was, of course. We see De’Aaron as someone who can grow with our young players and be a real leader for us. We’re hopeful we can make something happen to keep him in San Antonio for a long time,” a Spurs front office executive said.”
On Victor Wembanyama’s recovery: “Everything seems to be going according to plan. He’s spoken about feeling pretty good recently. Nothing seemed to be anything that would linger after the issue was addressed. We’re excited to get him back on the floor with the rest of our group, and our new guys,” a Spurs front office executive said.
