Did the coaches have some shows or something to attend in Vegas? Benching Dylan made sure we had no chance in moving forward.

The team literally has to play another game on Saturday. This was not about trying to lose on purpose or anything. Not sure why some people think that. They literally put Carter Bryant back in the game even when the team was down 30 and he got hurt. Dylan was always only going to play 2 games. Flagg only played 2 games. Plus Dylan is coming off a groin injury. Not smart to force him in meaningless games. Hardly anyone cares about a SL championship.

Protecting the #2 overall pick wouldn’t be the decision of the SL coach. They put CB back in late in the 4th, and he turned an ankle. They’re lucky that was all it was. If they had played Harper in a nothing SL game and he got seriously injured, the same clowns complaining he didn’t play would be crucifying the FO for that.

Yeah "meaningless games" and Bryant's ankle was especially bizarre with them being down by 30.

I was being facetious, as I told my wife the same during the game, but for that matter he could be injured any moment in SL. Wondering the point of the Pistons game, as well. Bryant will likely be working on that ankle and Dylan will be playing roulette.

I think the plan was to play Dylan two games. He could be hurt, but you were on plan if that happens. The problem I have is people that want them to play him more, when he was clearly shut down intentionally. They got him a little taste of action, and saw what they needed to see.

He's not going to be the next Larry Bird, but he's also not another Christian Laettner. The kid is going to be very good IMO.

I don't see Cooper Flagg becoming a true Tier 1 superstar—the kind of player who single-handedly carries a team. But he might be an Andrei Kirilenko type with even greater longevity, and perhaps the best Robin since Pippen. He could have referenced Manu instead of Harden if he wanted the perfect answer but still it's great to hear where his mind is at.

i though the same but then gave harper the benefit of the doubt by assuming perhaps dylan was just giving us a present day example.

Well Harden did go on to be top banana for a team or 2 while manu had to be 6th man for rest of career

Exactly. Would have defeated the point he was trying to make. He definitely wants to eventually start and become a superstar. Harden's path is a better example for his goals. Those saying Manu aren’t even really thinking about it like that.

Maybe because Manu was 57th pick and was expected to come off the bench, while Harden was 3rd overall.
