    Another 2-way option?

Enrique Freeman Becomes Unrestricted Free Agent
The Pacers have withdrawn their two-way qualifying offer to forward Enrique Freeman, making him an unrestricted free agent, tweets Keith Smith of Spotrac.
Freeman, who will turn 25 on Tuesday, was the 50th overall pick in the 2024 draft and appeared in 22 NBA games as a rookie for Indiana, averaging 2.1 points and 1.4 rebounds in 8.2 minutes per contest.
While Freeman’s impact at the NBA level was very limited, he played well in the G League, averaging 16.9 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.4 blocks per game in 14 outings for the Indiana Mad Ants last season. He also had a strong Summer League showing in Las Vegas this month, registering averages of 16.6 PPG, 9.6 RPG, 2.0 APG, and 1.8 BPG with an incredible 72.5% mark on field goal attempts, including 55.6% on three-pointers.

Love’s game fell off a ing cliff last year. He’s washed.
yeah im not worried about how great the player is who is on the 15th roster spot, but he'd be a low maintenance vet

But maybe find someone who has some chance of sticking (like a Champagnie of sorts) over a guy who'll be gone for sure in a year with likely no contribution in that time frame... like any wing who has decent size and isn't a non shooter and doesn't have a rap sheet.

im not that high on Precious but you could do a heck of a lot worse than him for your 15th roster spot

i wonder if they are waiting/hoping for Love to be bought out as we could use one more PF (and not a SF masquerading as a PF like Barnes/Keldon)
I think Precious would be a really good choice for 15. The roster is lacking some beef at 4 and he'd fit right in if/when the two-center schemes fail.

Love seems more like a le run deep piece; not sure if the ambitions are that lofty yet.

I like Freeman or Osifo as a two way project.

Givony leaving ESPN and will focus on DraftExpress. Supposedly ESPN offered him an extension and he said no.

TBH, this is pretty fantastic news.

The Detroit Pistons are waiving two-way player Ron Harper Jr, league sources told Hoopshype. He averaged 16.2 points, including 39% shooting from 3-point range, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 37 games combined with the Motor City Cruise and Maine Celtics in the G League.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are among the teams that have checked in on free agent guard Malcolm Brogdon — one of the top remaining guards on the market, sources tell me. Minnesota has been active in exploring backcourt options, sources said.

The Utah Jazz waived Jaden Springer earlier today. Springer’s contract would have become $400K guaranteed if he wasn’t waived by tomorrow.

According to a league source, the Celtics are waiving guard JD Davison.

Davison, the G League MVP, is no longer eligible for a two-way contract with the Cs but could sign one elsewhere or compete for a roster spot.

Celtics now have one open spot, but no move imminent.

The Washington Wizards are expected to explore bringing back center Richaun Holmes on a more team-friendly deal after waiving him to avoid guaranteeing his $13.28 million salary for the 2025-26 season, league sources tell me.

Good move, to pair with Rich Eisen’s head scratching return to ESPN. Who would ever return to ESPN/SAS television.

Feel it more on the state level tbh. Texas has become a show under Abbott. (...)
Hey KA, I'm late as always, but thank you for the writeup! It's always interesting to hear from people who actually live in San Antonio, as an overseas fan, thanks for the insight

You got me curious, what's up with Texas and the Republican stronghold they have? I heard about the power outage, and there was a flood recently as well right? Did it hit San Antonio? It's crazy to hear about all that's happening yet not hear a single person be held accountable for it, like you said...

I moved out of SA and I’m in Hou right now. That said I still have family there. The flooding did hit SA out of nowhere at one point and a few people died from what I read. But it was the area about 40 minutes north of SA that just got ravaged. Was probably the most horrible thing to happen to our state since Uvalde.

As everything is with politics it’s not really simple. Nobody knows wtf a “Republican” is anymore. People are trying to out-Republican their peers and it’s just turned into a cluster . It’s crazy bc literally nobody in charge actually cares about the state of Texas or its cons uents. Cruz left during the freeze/ power outage and then balked at the claim that he could’ve actually been of any help to anybody. He literally said, “well what could I have done to even help anyone?” Literally anything else but run away to Mexico.

Abbott got paid off by a billionaire from Pennsylvania who has a string of private schools that he wants to build here in TX and wanted access to tax payer money. Lo and behold as soon as Abbott got a 6 million dollar check from that billionaire he railed hard for a voucher system where parents can “decide” where to send their kids to school. He even withheld public school funding last year and personally saw to it that every Republican that voted against the vouchers (Texas is highly rural so private school funding for most of the state would effect them negatively) and all those rural Republicans actually thought of their cons uents and low and behold they were replaced by Republicans who did vote on vouchers. Abbott also never got our power grid problem fixed. He just set up a fine system of a million dollars a day which actually makes the company rather pay the small fine than spend to fix the issue. And Abbott of course took in donations of 5 million dollars from said company after not fixing our power grid problem.

Our AG was literally convicted of fraud. He has like 20 other lawsuits against him. He’s a big POS who hates the little guy (and believe it or not we are all the little guy) and has shown zero interest in doing anything legal.

But what really pisses me off is Abbott. He tried this bull political move where he likened the death of hundreds of people, entire families, small children who were just terrified in their final moments to a football game. I give him credit for securing money from Trump (when literally no other Governor has had success with) and putting together a team to search and secure the bodies. But man I just don’t like his callousness when it comes to children dying. To me (and it might be just me) it’s evil. He did the same with Uvalde by not attending the funerals and having to be talked out of going to an NRA convention days following the massacre.
