I think they see this as a no-brainer investment considering the extra revenue arena in a prime location would generate.
Especially considering that we have a 21 year old who's pretty much guaranteed to be the best player in the league in no time and seems to love the city/team.

Spurs obviously can't reach the Warriors level exponential growth because San Antonio isn't the Bay Area, but franchise's value will surely multiply over the next decade.
