I mean it's not a trade agreement yet. It's just a bunch of we will do this and that. To take effect it would have to be ratified.

For example of actual trade agreement (emphasis mine):

The European Union–Mercosur free trade agreement is a proposed free trade agreement on which the European Union and Mercosur reached agreement in principle in 2019.[1] The planned deal was announced on 28 June at the 2019 G20 Osaka summit after twenty years of negotiations.[1][2] The agreement is praised [3] but also criticized by NGOs, scientists, unions, farmers and indigenous people with both positive and negative aspects usually balanced during discussions.[4]

Although agreement has been reached in principle, the final texts have not been finalised, signed, or ratified and therefore have not entered into force. If ratified, it would represent the largest trade deal struck by both the EU (449 million inhabitants) and Mercosur (260 million inhabitants), in terms of numbers of citizens involved.[2][5] The draft trade deal is part of a wider Association Agreement between the two blocs. Besides trade, the association agreement would also deal with cooperation and political dialogue. Negotiations on these two parts were concluded on 18 June 2020.[6] On 6 December 2024, an agreement on the free trade deal was announced. It is not yet approved and requires endorsement from at least 15 of the 27 EU member countries.[7][8][9]

tsa thinks absolutely no prices on good at all will be affected by these tariffs. Suppliers will just eat them because Trump tells them too.

MAGA don't believe in win-win deals, and so fail to realize there are lose-lose deals also. Overall, while the extra tariffs are obviously not good, from what little details we have, i don't see anything particularly problematic for EU.

No I get that you think there'll be a one time raise in prices that you'll gladly pay so you can screech that Trump is the winner.

Except it's not gonna play out at all how you think.

    From the DOD, I heard.

Siphoned from the Sentinel missile upgrade...who needs that?

A golden replica of Air Force One shipped direct to the presidential library for about $900M feels intuitive

Wow, the far left is really melting down in this thread. First, it's Trump can't get a deal. Then, it's the deal favors the EU. Next, well even if the deal doesn't favor the EU it won't last anyway.

Just remember, Biden not only kept many of Trump's tariffs from the first presidency in place but he actually added big ones like 100% tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles, 50% tariffs on Chinese solar cells and 25% tariffs on Chinese lithium-ion EV batteries. But no complaining from the left when Biden does it.

Dems are going to run on raising taxes, on wasting billions of dollars in Ukraine and on completely ignoring illegal immigration. And they wonder why a life long Democrat like myself has just completely given up on this political party.
