They probably offered Uncle Dennis a blood diamond mine tbh
Any skilled internet-ers have a stream link for the Slovenia-Germany warm up game that is about to start? Trying to see that skinny Luka in action.

it does look like Luka has lost at least 15-20 lbs. Looks noticeably thinner in the neck and shoulders area. Very slim, interesting development. Guess he put down the cheeseburgers and beer
Spurs set to face the defending Champs on Christmas Day. Wemby vs. Chet matchup.
NBA missed a chance not having the Mavs host the Lakers on Christmas tbh.
Per Stein and as I expected, Spurs set to open the regular season on October 22nd at Mavericks.
Antetokounmpo and the Clippers have arguments, but given the state of the former's team and the perpetual health status of the latter's best player, the Christmas teams are fine.
So are the Rockets in the opener, but the lazy, played out Warriors vs Lakers instead of present (Jokic) vs future (Wembanyama) is shortsighted.

No east teams on Christmas
Some observations from the game:
Luca indeed looks slimmer
Franz really worked on his jumper
Balkan refs sucked (50+ FTAs for SLO)
GER pretty much in control all game long
But they need Schröder und Theiss to make any noise at the tournament.
Christian Anderson with a nasty transition dunk and a three but he really looks small running with the grown ups, don't see him making the jump from Texas Tech to the NBA next summer...
...anyone seen him playing at TTU? I just saw him dominating the under19 world championship but how is he doing with older and bigger compe ion?
The Spurs have signed guard Adam Flagler, a former Baylor teammate of Jeremy Sochan and 2021 NCAA champion. Flagler, who went undrafted in 2023, helped the OKC Blue win the G League le and earned a ring with the Thunder last season. Now he’ll fight for a roster spot in San Antonio.
Flagler recently played on the Hawks team at Vegas Summer League and his odds of making the Spurs are modest. This looks like a training camp invite, so unless the 6’3” guard impresses in preseason or injuries open a backcourt slot, he’s likely bound for Austin in the G League.
Flagler is a capable catch-and-shoot threat and smart off-ball mover with championship-level experience at multiple levels. He’s not a high-usage creator but could fit as a situational floor-spacer and secondary ballhandler. During his most recent stint in Vegas, Flagler showed he can score efficiently in burst opportunities, particularly impressive in per-48 metrics.
The first one? Cleveland at NY?
Luka def look less fat, but can’t tell if he’s actually trimmer or if he’s just not as obese as he got last year.
Him and McLaughlin might be fighting for a spot, if Flagler plays that well
This. their last three matchups were extremely intense, compe ive affairs and none was carried on National TV.
If the Spurs make the playoffs, most likely as a lower seed, Denver would be the matchup I prefer for them. I want Wembenyama to measure up against the best at his position, too see from up close what will take to carry a team with Championships aspirations. Can he handle a Jokic-like 38-42 minutes load while being the main target of every playoffs scheme of the opposing team? Questions that needs to be answered about his stamina/strength (especially post-clot issue) and offense (lack of go-to-move vs swarming defense) are what makes the urgency of making next post-season palpable.

Just In: The Boston Celtics and center Amari Williams have agreed to a two-way NBA deal, sources confirmed to
@OOSSports
ace3g, you the real MVP. The Woj of Spurstalk, tbh
These transactions are some deep cuts
I appreciate you Ace, truly. I think you’ve earned a vacation too, Amari Williams 2-way deals be damned!
I'm downgrading my Luka 15-20 lbs assessment to like 10 lbs. The first clip made it look like he lost more but it is still a significant commitment he made and I am impressed. LAL might be a nice challenge next season.
It’s a big market and Luka the eventual face of the franchise. It’s expected but would it last? The guy doesn’t play defense and a whiner. Is he going to attract good talent to play with him with that at ude?
I fully expect him to be fatter by the end of the next season after all that water weight comes back.
