This is the stupidest ing thing the NBA has come with, yet they can't find a way to fix the All-Star Weekend.
I’ll be Courtside in Portland. Can’t wait.
I miss Duncan schooling Jerome James or DeMarcus Cousins; Manu Euro step how did he do that; Tony flash to the basket ending up in a heap by the stanchion.
Those were the best of times
Am I reading this right? Only one of our cup games is on national television, and it’s on Amazon Prime?
I think the spreadsheet below was wrong, we have 2. The 2nd game is vs Warriors on Prime.
Or get rid of the pre-season, start the season a month earlier, and get rid of back-to-backs.
NBA: We care about player safety.
Also NBA: Hey, we're gonna stick a useless exhibition game into your schedule, oh and extra games for teams trying to make the playoffs.
only way this tournament becomes worth it is if the league provides some lottery or playoff effect for the winner.
The NBA promotes this stupid cup more than they did the finals.
I'm in the minority... but I like it.
Seriously the Cup bracket is fun for bragging rights and adds a nice jolt of compe ion to the early drag of the reg season. Not against the idea but I don't take it too seriously as an accolade yet. Just adds another thing to fight for and gives a bit more depth and complexity to the game.
bring me the cup
I don’t really care for it but understand what the league is trying to do. Rivalries, something to get excited about during the meaningless part of the season, increased viewership, overseas market familiarity, those uniform patches for extra apparel sales, those epilepsy inducing court designs to remind fans how lucky they’ve had it. But I wish they’d add more meaning to the cup, better playoff positions, jumping draft odds, whatever.
