Castle getting cooked.
That chick in the grey t-shirt doesn't miss.
Too early to draw a final conclusion on this one, but i agree it is gonna come down to Castle or Risacher for the best player of this draft class.
- Reed Sheepard better show me something next season. He has the most pressure as a sop re.
- Sarr brought too far down and Buzelis getting slightly overrated here
Such a rough draft class, as expected. I still can't rate Sheppard that high. I didn't believe in him coming out and still think he'll face tough problems. Just too small, too slow, and can't dribble. Undersize, slow shooting guard with little point guard skills.
During draft, I thought Castle was far and away the best player and I wasn't sure who I'd take second (I did like Dillingham, but thought his issues were enormous), so glad they got him.
Mccain was best pick
I don't get why people are still sleeping on Castle? He had flashes last year that made him look like the best player on the team.
Don't know if the videos of him working out are for show or not, but he's our 3rd best player. Wemby > Fox > Castle.
Because putting up numbers on horribe teams isn't much of a feat these days.
One could argue that Spurs don't have high end players other than Wemby and Fox.Don't know if the videos of him working out are for show or not, but he's our 3rd best player. Wemby > Fox > Castle.
The only other players I'm sure will deliver in their roles are Kornet and probably Barnes. Everyone else has to prove themselves if we're talking serious basketball and Spurs actually trying to win games.
Well , you're telling me I got Harper and Bryant tattoos for fun? .
What does suck is that it seems like we've been saying let the young guys develop for 6 or 7 years? That was on poop.
I really have high hopes for Mitch.
Wrote about it before, but the biggest test for Mitch will be if he has enough authority to DNP players that aren't good enough.
Sochan and Keldon being the two obvious candidates.
He's shown that he can create a very good offense, defense was garbage but we got two elite assistants for it. It's been a long time since I was this hyped for a Spurs season.
What's your depth chart?
how many teams have high end players after their 3rd best guy? Only the thunder have any semblance of that and that’s a team that’s a product of a perfect storm. People expect too much out of a roster. The only excuse this team will have if they fail to meet expectations is their top 2 or 3 guys failing to lead the rest of the team and on the coach for lack of chemistry. The players who are in the tier 2 list of best players on this roster are good enough to be contributors on other compe ive teams.
Damn, I hate this.
Someone misinterprets one word I wrote and makes a post that has nothing to do with what I was trying to say.
Should've sed reliable instead of high end players.
Barnes is reliable, but we'll see if he starts declining because he's 33.
Kornet is reliable, Olynyk in some situations. Those are the only players we have with serious playoff experience who can be relied on to deliver within their roles when things get tough.
Castle is a sophmore who has some big amplitudes in his play last season, which is only natural.
Harper is a rookie.
Vassell...does anything need to be said?
Sochan and Keldon aren't good enough unless they both make significant improvements.
Champagnie is reliable within his 8th-10th man role.
Obviously all those players have potential to be high end role players, but we could very well see all of them struggle in the upcoming season.
We just have to wait and see how it goes because for serious playoff teams a player with lower ceiling who will surely get his is more valuable than young players who often disappear.
Damn, no Carter Bryant?
Honestly, I just want to see how Fox, Castle, and Wemby play together.
We're still hoping we can get some value from Jeremy, but at this point gifting both him and Keldon away for nothing would be addition by subtraction. Bryant will spend the first few months in Austin mostly because of those two.
