Is this where you get your news, yoni?

    Here is the reality:

...the initial agreement between Hamas and Israel addresses only a few of the 20 points in a plan Mr. Trump proposed last month, and some of the most difficult issues appeared to have been left to a future phase of negotiations. Those include who would rule postwar Gaza and whether, to what degree and how Hamas would lay down its weapons.

Still no comment on your sudden change of mind on Iraq? You've been dodging this for years.

Does he deserve it? Does does he get credit for "Freeing Palestine" and bringing peace to the Middle East? If so, if Obama can get a Nobel Peace Prize for just promising hope and change, wouldn't this warrant some recognition?
Sure, if it holds...a big if. Ben-Gvir is threatening to topple the Israeli government if Hamas isn't destroyed.

Very little has happened beyond the announced deal, and the subsequent phases in the next 90-180 days will be even more difficult. There are reasons to doubt that the counterparties will keep the deal.

Btw, why is this important to you? I thought Obama getting the Nobel Prize was stupid, but I haven't obsessed over it for 17 years like y'all have.

So, this brings to 8, the number of conflicts in which President Trump has been instrumental in a cessation of hostilities.

Before the agreement between Israel and Hamas, over Gaza, there were the 2nd term Trump-brokered peace agreements between Armenia and Azerbaijan; Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo; India and Pakistan; and Cambodia and Thailand. In his first term he brokered peace between Egypt and Ethiopia; and, Serbia and Kosovo. Of course, there was the quick end he brought to Iran's reign of terror through their proxies. Finally, let's not forget the Abraham Accords negotiated by his son-in-law Jared Kushner, Steve Witkoff, and Avi Berkowitz.

On top of these globally significant mediations, there are over 50 to 75 Americans who owe their freedom to President Trump after he secured their release from foreign nations that were either holding them hostage or detaining them.

Personally, I don't know why he wants the Nobel Peace Prize. It lost all meaning after it was given to mass murderer and pederast Yasser Arafat. The Prize committee further sullied it by awarding the Peace Prize to President Barack Obama for merely being elected President of the United States; a presidency that oversaw the initiation and worsening of hostilities, around the world and, in the process, dropped over 26,000 bombs on 7 different countries.

I wouldn't want to be in their company.

Well, they're waiving American flags in Israel and thanking our President. And, in Gaza, instead of chants of "Death to America," there is reporting showing Gazans waking to peace and thanking President Trump for the chance. Things are changing quicker than you think. The first 72 hours will be the most telling ... if Hamas returns all the hostages (living and dead) and the IDF withdraws to the agreed upon buffer line; the next 90-180 days will be easier.

However, aside from the Israel/Hamas conflict, there are 7 other significant wars/conflicts in which the Trump administration has played a crucial role in bringing to an end.

What did Barack Obama do to deserve his Peace Prize? And, can we all just admit that, whatever it was, Trump has far surpassed that?

I know TDS is a hard condition to see past but maybe, just maybe, some of the left are starting to see through the lies. If the Washington Post can see through the fog of hatred, maybe a few in this forum can, as well.

The Nobel Committee awarded this year's peace prize to Maria Corina Machado amid calls [from] President Donald Trump to receive the award in the wake of his brokering a historic deal between Israel and Hamas.

Machado, a Venezuelan opposition leader, was described as a "brave and committed champion of peace" by Joergen Watne Frydnes, chair of the Norwegian Nobel Committee.

"She is receiving the Nobel Peace Prize for her tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela and for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy," Frydnes said.

Now he's definitely going to war with Venezuela.

And you will support it. Just like you supported the Iraq war. Because you are told to.

We hoped Trump would've stopped the genocide and ethnic cleansing.

He supported it. He still does.

And he's also covering up his Epstein files.

Why do you pretend you want peace?

Trump has earned the flames, he's a fire-breather himself

I don't think LE is a quasi-baronial class due any exceptional deference or honor beyond their own service; as a dyed in the wool 20th century person this idea has an undemocratic feel

As a CiC sure but there is no question that it was part of their infrastructure due to the facilities they unquestionably had under the hospital.
Then why did IDF put out fake information about it? Why not just release bona fide information?

On Oct. 27, 2023, the Israeli army released an animated video claiming to reveal what lay beneath Al-Shifa Hospital, Gaza’s largest medical complex. It showed underground tunnels, bunkers, and a Hamas command room — all depicted through slick 3D graphics.

“That information is ironclad,” insisted Mark Regev, then-senior adviser to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during an interview the same day on CNN. “It’s based on Israeli intelligence.”

Israel’s first raid on the hospital would not come until mid-November. But the narrative had already been set. The clip was pushed simultaneously across the army’s Telegram, Facebook, YouTube, X, and Instagram accounts. On Netanyahu’s own X profile, it drew tens of millions of views. Over the subsequent weeks, dozens of international outlets would rebroadcast it for their own audiences, invariably accompanied by Israel’s claim that the hospital served as Hamas’ “main operations base” in Gaza.

But no such base was ever discovered. Moreover, the command room featured in the video was not unique; it had already appeared more than a year earlier in
another animation published by the Israeli army, illustrating what it said was a tunnel beneath a UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) school in Gaza. The surrounding streets in the “Al-Shifa” video, meanwhile, were populated with storefronts from a commercial 3D asset pack — replete with fictional establishments like “Fabio’s Pizzeria,” “Andre’s Bakery,” and “Revolution Bike Shop.”

The “Al-Shifa” animation would become one of the most notorious examples of Israel’s new wartime communication strategy. It also marked the beginning of an accelerated phase of production within the IDF’s Spokesperson’s Unit: having published only a handful of 3D visualizations before October 7, the unit has since released dozens of similar videos depicting supposed terror sites in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran.

A months-long investigation by +972 Magazine and Local Call together with the research collective Viewfinder, the Swiss network SRF, and the Scottish outlet The Ferret analyzed 43 animations produced by the Israeli army since October 7 and found that many contain serious spatial inaccuracies or prefabricated assets — sourced not from classified intelligence but rather from commercial libraries, content creators, and cultural ins utions.

Interviews with soldiers involved in the production of these videos further illuminate how the army prioritizes the aesthetic value of the animations over their accuracy, while animators routinely embellish in order to emphasize a supposed threat.

The outcome is a communications campaign that mimics the graphics of forensic reconstructions in pursuit of legitimizing military strikes on civilian infrastructure. And as most of the sites depicted in the army’s animations remain inaccessible to journalists and researchers, and many have been blown up or demolished, Israel’s illustrated allegations effectively defy verification.
