After reading everything written above, I have decided to upend my life, career and family, move back to San Antonio, register to vote and cast my ballot for yes on both measures without seeking any additional information or input.
This tax hike for a product that hasn't delivered in over 11 years and likely will never again in order to pay rich elite government oligarchs at the top is a local government scam.
DO NOT vote in favor of this new arena. Tell this underperforming franchise that has been mismanaged since at least 2018, that they will not be vultures and financially take advantage of San Antonians who have plenty of entertainment without the government getting richer on our taxpayer dime.
VOTE NO!!!!

This is one of the more well thought out and comprehensive political replies to ever occur in this forum.
Observe that the truth-teller will be attacked and ridiculed by the "educated" masses.
Expertly trained to slaughter themselves and to hunt down any cattle who might be testing the fences.
Yeah that small raising of the hotel tax, that not one citizen of town would pay is just the worst.
Good ing god.
So many people do not understand HOT money taxes because when they vote, all it says on the ballot is that it's a tax. It does not tell you that it's a hotel occupancy tax for those who stay in a hotel only.
I'll be voting yes on 11/4/25. Going from 1% to 2% on hotel and car rental in SA is small price to pay to improve the city and keep our Spurs for years to come. I don't bang enough hookers to give a about a hotel tax
1.75% to 2%
Even less of an impact![]()
Vote NO on Proposition 50 in California
Vote NO on Proposition A in San Antonio
Vote NO on Proposition B in San Antonio
(California is most important. They are literally revenge violating state cons utional law to revenge gerrymander, 100% sleazy bull .)
If you're a conservative in Texas, you still may be able to mail-in ballot a NO vote on Proposition 50 in California. California voter law is extremely law especially the mail in voter counts, they have the tendency to count every vote regardless of chain of custody.
Good for you, encourage voter fraud!
People who actually have won't pay this tax while simultaneously making 6 figures a year will gasp and say that is an outrage.
In general, voting no is the way to go.
What would you do if the NO vote wins and the Spurs walk away? You would be OK with that? What would become your entertainment and even forum talk?
Would you invest your free time in the missions, the alamo, fiesta texas, sea world, the riverwalk? What would become your go to?
Nothing loaded, just curious.
Welp, I've spent tons and tons of days at Fiesta Texas and Sea World since 2019, not including 2020/2021 obviously, and haven't watched the spurs since the year Manu/TP/Kawhi all left, so...
No wonder you are a hard NO.
If you aren't back on the Spurs bandwagon now..............
It's four games.
The last time the Spurs were 4-0 they finished the 8th seed and got embarrassed by GSW
And they still have no defense, like the rest of the ty NBA these days
Why would anyone vote no when the whole thing is paid by visitors through an extension of hotel occupancy taxes. This is not going to affect anyone not in a hotel.
it's how basically everything new in SA/Bexar has been paid for the past 20 years.
i will add that regular taxes will be going to streets and other infrastructure around the project but that looks totally worth it.
And the tax would be like an extra $2.00. half of San Antonio wastes that much on a 40 oz. Drunk, DUI arses!!
Why would anyone care about your opinion and since you don't follow the team why are you here? These are rhetoric questions, you're an idiot.
