The only difference between him and Marie Antoinette is that he actually knows average Joe doesn't have cake.
    Trump is much worse

If he survives long enough, he might replace Hitler as the principal villain of history

This is a Democrat government shutdown -- they own it. Republicans' only option to end it is to break the Democrat's filibuster by ending the filibuster once and for all.

Mike Johnson could gavel in the House of Representatives and start passing laws now, if he so chose

If only Chuck Schumer, the minority Senate leader, would let him

You can't fund the government with only the House of Representatives. LOL

Senate filibuster stops it dead in its tracks.

Spending measures start in the House, are you familiar with the US Cons ution?

Republicans drove insurance premiums up in the BBB

Without extending these tax credits, Texans who buy health insurance on the exchange will pay $459 more on average per year in premiums, an increase of 289% over current rates. Researchers also estimate that these cost increases will drive roughly 1.7 million Texans to lose their insurance coverage altogether — causing our uninsured rate to surge to over 20%.

Judge Talwani basically gave the government three days to tap the contingency fund to fund SNAP

“This court has now clarified that Defendants are required to use those Contingency Funds as necessary for the SNAP program…Defendants also may supplement the Contingency Funds by authorizing a transfer of additionalfunds pursuant to 7 U.S.C. § 2257 to avoid any reductions.”
