This is true and one reason I think there will be military strikes on the interior soon. Good old fashioned neoconservatism is going to suddenly be back in vogue. It worked on them back then and there is a real wag the dog impetus for it. They can't get riled up about the Epstein files anymore because Trump castrated them. They can't get riled about about Biden's economy because it's Trump's increasingly ty economy. Xenophobia and racism seem to be the last safe harbors.

They've mostly done it already but have only expressed it in polls and the odd off-year election. Trump & Co. are doing nothing to pull out of their death spiral.
