I'm sure there's some of that, but I also don't doubt these are the things they're being told.
Problem is any bold claims with portal recruiting is a fool's errand as things change too quickly.
Take the Louisville RB...he announces he's leaving and says his goodbyes, Louisville holds his paperwork for a certain period as they're allowed to do and it ended up working in their favor with negotiations.
