I know the NCAA is already completely incompetent, but apparently the dead period applies to portal recruiting too despite the window only being two weeks.
Even though previous reports said the opposite, OTF wrote that Muschamp didn't make a huge effort to retain Barnes.
IT added that Muschamp hasn't had any new communication with Barnes or his family, but Barnes supposedly entered the portal before informing the staff so that might be part of the story.
