The U.S. Treasury has not intervened to prop up the yen since 2011, when it joined other G7 countries in a coordinated action after a devastating earthquake and tsunami rocked Japan.
bribe $$$ for Sean Duffy from the companies he regulates, for a "reality TV show" that will never be released
https://www.thebulwark.com/p/what-th...eality-tv-showSECRETARY OF TRANSPORTATION SEAN DUFFY and his family promised back in May to help American families bond during vacation season. The plan: The Great American Road Trip, a new online television show starring, well, the Duffys—Sean, his wife Rachel Campos-Duffy, and their nine children.
The idea is that the Duffys would drive around together—with cameras do enting their every wholesome conversation in the car, and then following them around on their sightseeing escapades.
These trips for the family of eleven didn’t come cheaply, and were seemingly funded to the tune of millions of dollars in donations from corporations Duffy regulates. Still, there was theoretically a noble goal involved. Campos-Duffy—who is a Fox News host and, like her husband, a former reality TV star—said that the show would be an antidote to Americans’ typical lives in what she bafflingly called “a Pornhub world.”
Describing the show—on Fox News and in a promotional conversation in the Oval Office with President Trump—Duffy said their motto is “To love America is to see America.”
Maybe so, but you know what part of America nobody has seen? Duffy’s show.
This Saturday marks three months since the Duffys’ Fox News appearance. Summer is more than half over. The celebrations around the Fourth of July that Duffy’s show was supposed to promote—the project was “aligned” with Trump’s sketchy Freedom250 alternative celebration—are well in the past. Many American school students will go back to school this week.
Yet The Great American Road Trip, which Duffy promised would premiere in June, has not released a single episode. That’s a pretty significant failure for a show the Department of Transportation once described as a “key initiative.”

Kremlin-friendly daily newspaper encourages Patel to "come [to Moscow] bearing gifts"
The Moskovsky Komsomolets piece told Patel to "come bearing gifts," The Daily Beast wrote.
The Komsomolets report includes a quote from Vladimir Vasiliev, a political analyst from the Russian Academy of Sciences' Arbatov Ins ute for U.S. and Canadian Studies.https://www.rawstory.com/kash-patel-russia-2677676074/
"It's assumed that Russia has some kind of dirt on the Democrats," Vasiliev reportedly said in Russian. "We could provide it, in one form or another, to the American side."
Vasiliev works with the Russian International Affairs Council, which is overseen by the country's top diplomat, Sergei Lavrov, and "widely known" for spreading the Kremlin official line in state-controlled media, The Daily Beast reported.
"At the same time, the Americans might also have something to share, seeing as the Russian side could ask, 'What do we get in return?' or inquire, 'What do you have to say about this or that issue?'" Vasiliev said, according to The Daily Beast.

FBI is now a troll farm under Patel
Patel is lowering hiring standards at the FBI in oddly specific ways
e.g., bestiality is no longer a dealbreaker
https://www.mediaite.com/media/news/...disqualifiers/![]()
The changes mark a departure from previous publicly available FBI guidance. An archived 2023 do ent listed “engagement in pros ution or bestiality” among the bureau’s “automatic disqualifiers,” according to the outlet. Current eligibility guidance does not include those activities on the list.
The shift comes as the FBI has experienced significant personnel losses. In April reporting highlighted by CBS, former FBI analyst Philip Fields found that 1,139 special agents left the bureau in 2025. The agency currently employs roughly 13,700 agents.
FBI Director Kash Patel has publicly argued that some longstanding hiring requirements unnecessarily eliminate potential recruits.
“We are losing too many qualified candidates to the rigors of the requirements from yesteryear,” Patel said in a July interview with former agent John Nantz cited by the outlet.

OIG report makes it official
Chavez-DeRemer drank on the job, used government money for personal travel, failed to properly declare gifts, groomed security aides and harassed employees.
https://oig.dol.gov/public/oifinding...004-01-001.pdf
In April 2025, Chavez-DeRemer announced a nationwide listening tour to visit businesses and obtain input from workers, employers, and union members from diverse backgrounds across the country. Wright and Han managed much of the travel planning with Chavez-DeRemer’s input, and Wright traveled with Chavez-DeRemer to 19 locations as the tour supervisor. Witnesses stated that Han or Wright frequently determined whether travel was official or personal, and that itineraries typically contained between one and three official engagements per day with substantial periods of downtime between scheduled events.
Witnesses reported that Chavez-DeRemer required Wright to ensure that tour locations be within approximately one hour of a commercial airport, while Wright and Han generally limited site visits to 60–90 minutes and speaking engagements to less than five minutes. As a result of this requirement, some trips consisted of one or two official engagements totaling less than two hours over two days. Three career employees advised Chavez-DeRemer and Wright that combining personal and official travel could create regulatory compliance issues. In response, Wright and Han removed career staff from travel-planning responsibilities and reassigned those duties to a political appointee.
Eleven witnesses stated that Wright added official engagements to itineraries for destinations that she and Chavez-DeRemer intended to visit for personal reasons in order to use DOL funds for the travel. Witnesses identified at least thirteen trips to destinations where Chavez-DeRemer visited family or her other personal residences and five trips to Las Vegas, Nevada.
pressured aides to drink with her at work
The OIG interviewed witnesses, reviewed do entary and video surveillance evidence, and directly observed bottles of alcohol within the offices and spaces used or controlled by Chavez-DeRemer, Han, and Wright in the course of investigating allegations of alcohol consumption and possession by OSEC leadership during duty hours on DOL premises. Interviewed witnesses attested that Chavez-DeRemer, Han, and Wright, regularly drank alcohol in Chavez-DeRemer's study during official duty hours. Witnesses reported that when other employees attending these meetings declined alcohol, Chavez-DeRemer, Han, and Wright pressured them to participate or ridiculed them for abstaining.
made employees do personal errands
Witness statements, photographic and video evidence, and text messages reviewed by the OIG established that Chavez-DeRemer repeatedly directed subordinate employees to perform personal tasks for her during official duty hour. Specific instances of ChavezDeRemer issuing such directives include:
• Directing her Personal Aide and Executive Assistant to commute, using DOL motor-pool transportation, to her personal residence to organize her bedroom closet during the workday. Chavez-DeRemer authorized their access to her residence and directed them to hang her laundry and dry cleaning and organize her clothing, shoes, and purses. After completing the task, the employees provided Chavez-DeRemer a video do enting their work (see Figure 7).
• On October 29, 2025, during the 43-day government shutdown, directing a government employee to retrieve approximately eight personal packages from Chavez-DeRemer’s residential mailroom and deliver them to her unit.
• Directing three OSEC employees to purchase personal items on ChavezDeRemer's behalf, including picture frames, holiday ornaments, gifts, and alcohol using Chavez-DeRemer’s personal funds. Directing an aide during official travel to purchase wine for her at her hotel. One employee stated that ChavezDeRemer’s directed personal purchases were not always reimbursed.
• Directing a Hispanic federal employee to translate during interactions with Spanish-speaking workers at her personal residence and additionally directed this employee to oversee movers at her residence and communicate ChavezDeRemer's instructions to the moving crew.
• Providing that same Hispanic federal employee on a separate occasion with Chavez-DeRemer's personal house cleaner’s contact information and directing the employee via text message to arrange for cleaning services at ChavezDeRemer's personal residence before her husband arrived there.
took her limo driver to a strip club
Witnesses also reported that Chavez-DeRemer and ASAIC 1 engaged in unwelcome verbal and physical conduct by requiring Chavez-DeRemer's security detail driver to enter an establishment featuring nude dancers with them where Chavez-DeRemer and ASAIC 1 both ordered the driver over their own protestations to give money from Chavez-DeRemer to one of the performers and to drop bills one-byone on the performer’s body.
