i predicted A&M to win their bowl and finish in the top 20, which would have given them the 10 wins i think i predicted. it came down to 1 game...and A&M lost. OK great, i was wrong about them beating Cal. bottom line, thats hardly ownage, when i predicted A&M to do better than anyone else did, at least on this board. and considering A&M went into austin and stomped on your little team.

arguably worst defense in UT history
but at least we finished with a win, and Colt rebounded, giving at least some creedence to the idea that he was hurt against A&M
the little country bas put up a heisman esque performance in his bowl debut

i'd agree with that, but it was ridiculous to have t.u. ranked as high as they were to start the season. that being said, i look for them to be pretty good next year. although, i think a preseason ranking of top 10 is too high.

Regardless of who they lost to the NFL they were still the incoming champions and that is worth something, in any sport. I think you'd be pissed if USC had won and they came into the next season ranked 15 or so....Nobody outside of austin really thought we'd STAY at number 2, but I think we deserved the 2 spot after owning the greatest team in the history of all sports. Besides, we ended up losing our best tailback and only player on the team with explosive playmaking ability--say what you will but losing Ramonce was horrible for the season. Only player we had that was capable of busting a huge play.

I think texas is ed, defense is ruined for another decade, but enough about that horrible season..

i don't care what teams think they deserve to be ranked. i am only concerned with what they should be ranked. to have SC ranked outside the top 10, and imo the top 5, would have been irresponsible. and their play backed up these thoughts....SC is just a freaking powerhouse.
