^Don't forget Doug Collins (who hasn't shut up about how much he would pay to watch him), Bill Walton, Magic Johnson, and of course Barkley.
Since they don't get to vote, it really doesn't matter. After the votes are counted, there are what 7 slots left? If they go with another center, 3 guards and 3 forwards... Does Manu make the cut of 3?

If Kobe sits out, they get 8 players.

SA is 35-10, but by reading alota Sequs post, youd think they are 23-22 or sumthing.

Hey, I am just throwing it out there. I gave you all some players to think about besides Manu. I think he is on the bubble. I don't understand how a coach could vote for a player because of flash when there are clearly objective statistical reasons to pick other players even if they aren't wearing black and silver.

    objective statistical reasons
Only problem with your circle jerkoff buddy Richardson?

He plays on a very bad bad team, so gets to score alot of points.

If Ginobili played on the freak Warriors hed average 25 a night.

    Get a clue already.

Like in any human activity, the coaches use their personal feeling about the players, the input from collaborators, and the video scouting, in addition to the statistical analysis.

I can assure you that Manu ranks pretty high up among most assistants and scouts that could influence coaches in the NBA.

Since you brought some stats, let me ask you a question:
Do you think coaches are blinded by ppg? Do you really think they don't factor in efficiency and productivity when making a decision?

The dude is 3rd in the entire league in points per shot (1.51!!). This is ing increadible for a guard!! The only players above him are Shaq (1.57) and Amare (1.56). Among SGs, the only guys relatively close are Wade (1.43) and Maggette (1.42). Other representative players are Kobe (1.33), Allen (1.27), L. Hughes (1.23), TMac (1.21), Finley (1.16), J. Johnson (1.14), and J. Richarson (1.12).

Manu is top 15 in the league in productivity per minute. Measures of productivity take into account everything, including rebounds, assists, points, TOs, blocks, FG%, etc.

Another measure of how good a player makes other teammates better is the +/- points on/off the court. Manu ranks 6th in the Roland Rankings and is the best of the league (+16.8) in +/- points when he is on the court!

Rank Player Team On Court +/- Off Court +/- Roland Rating
    1 Nowitzki DAL +10.5 -12.2 +22.7
    2 Kirilenko UTA +10.9 -9.2 +20.1
    3 Marbury NYK +0.6 -18.1 +18.8
    4 Allen SEA +7.2 -7.0 +14.3
    5 Duncan SAS +14.8 +0.5 +14.3
    6 Ginobili SAS +16.8 +2.6 +14.2
    7 Nash PHO +13.1 -0.7 +13.8
    8 Jones LAL +8.3 -4.5 +12.8
    9 Tinsley IND +3.6 -8.7 +12.2
    10 Brand LAC +2.4 -9.4 +11.8
    11 Garnett MIN +4.3 -7.2 +11.5
    12 Battier MEM +8.0 -3.5 +11.5
    13 Bibby SAC +6.6 -4.9 +11.4
    14 Terry DAL +10.8 -0.5 +11.2
    15 Kidd NJN +0.4 -10.5 +10.9

He is also second in the league in raw +/- points (+435) behind Tim Duncan.

I don't know if the coaches will pick him or not. The only thing I am trying to say is that you could make a strong statistical argument that he is one of the elite guards in the league.

P.S.: In addition, if you don't consider him one of the most exciting players to watch playing basketball, you have ice in your veins.

The stats prove it = Manu in far less minutes than most = better player.

West guards should be Kobe, Nash, Bibby, Allen, Manu = 2 points, 3 swing type men = perfect and exciting line-up. Bibby for season long consistancy has to go over Parker, but Parker will get this due down the line.

Rest of team = Amare, Duncan, Yao, Garnett, TMac (Guard/Forward), Dirk.

With those 11 throw in anyone (I would vote for Marion)
